Well its been a while since last release as I've been a little busy. As the near future looks busy too I decided to release a bugfix version and hold off on the planned new features. Some things fixed are fakesign installers, any region changer, in the stub deleter IOSes 3 and 5 were being missed also I have moved database.txt and config file(wiimod.txt) to sd:/app/wiimod/ and the CSV file now outputs in sd:/wad/wiimod/. So here it is Wii Mod v2.1

Download:http://www.mediafire.com/?4jqhjqqq3cw63au

Changelog since 2.0 :
Code:
Fixed anyregion changer
Fixed fakesign installers
Added missing IOSes 3 and 5 to stub deleter
titles database moved to sd:/apps/wiimod/database.txt, still checks sd:/database.txt as fallback
Config file moved to sd:/apps/wiimod/wiimod.txt
IOS csv moved to sd:/wad/wiimod/
Added Front light feedback to system menu install
Disabled the password feature left in wadmanager
Adjusted wiimote controls

Just did a quick test for v2.1:

1. Region Changer -> Works no problem.

2. Dump a Wiiware to WAD then uninstall/install -> Works no problem ,too

3. SMB (move wiimod.txt back to \apps\wiimod) -> Works normal as v2.0

Thanks for checking the new version so fast. So did the bug with the "trailer" file get resolved? I only ask because I was never able to replicate the error so I don't know if it got fixed.

As always if you find a bug or have a suggestion please let me know.

Yes, it's fixed. (dump an installed Wiiware/VC channel to wad)
Glad to hear that got fixed. Any other issues you have noticed? What about the problems in wad manager? I wasn't able to replicate the issue but I think it likely has something to do with spaces in directory or file names or something like that.

Im glad to hear more of you like Wii Mod cause its just getting better. Today I bring you Wii Mod v2.2. Many big changes have been made, all menus have double buffering now so they shouldn't flicker, the advanced menu no longer reloads the IOS, file browser movement has been changed for wad manager, any title manager, and app loader, big code overhaul to make it way more efficient only reading from the nand when needed, added the ability to check for missing IOSs that are used by WiiWare, the menus now are color coded to help you find and fix problems and more. So here it is Wii Mod v2.2

Download:http://www.mediafire.com/?c7q4edyy6g6gdp5

Changelog since 2.1 :
Code:
Added double buffering to stop the menus from flickering
Fixed bug in wad dumping that caused crashes when failing to allocate memory
Advanced menu no longer reloads the ios
Cached many values that are read multiple times from the wii, much more efficient with Any Title Manager and the IOS Menu
You can now press B to cancel installing a Channel, IOS, or System Menu while it's still downloading
Changed movement through files in any title manager, wad manager and app loader
Cleaned up any title manager menus, added some color, and sorted the titles.
Fixed bug in installing IOS from wad
Menus are now color coded to help you find and fix bugs.
IOS menu will warn you if you try to delete an IOS that is used by a WiiWare and warn you if such an IOS is not currently installed.
Removed config option checkios, it is meaningless now

I tried v2.2.... just two notes:
- at the startup I get "Error: failed to get TMD size" I do not know what this means, I just installed v2.2...
- WiiMod starts with AHBPROT, then I moved around for a while and AHBPROT was missed, no more way to do anything without loading a trucha IOS...

Hope this may help.... good job, this is a very useful tool...

SMB of Wad Manager doesn't work in v2.2.

After seeing "Connecting smb -Worked" ........ then it go back to the
Main Menu automatically. Change back to v2.1 then it's OK.
(use the same file of Wiimod.txt )

Maybe this is something to do with the startup error message "Failed to get TMD size".

Are you sure you didn't overwrite your txt file with the one in the release, when you check 2.1 again are you just overwriting boot.dol? Maybe it is somehow related to that "Failed to get TMD size" message, it shouldn't be, but I'll look into it. It could be a bad title causing that message you might want to check for anything weird in the title manager. Can one of you post your csv?

How easy is it to repeat? Did you goto a specific menu?

I did replace everything (bool.dol ,meta.xml , wiimod.txt ..............) before testing
v2.2.

No matter I use forwarder channel or boot from HBC , I got "Failed to get TMD size" message
before loading the "main menu".

Also as my previous thread mentioned , the SMB function of wad manager doesn't work.
It just went back to the main menu automatically after showing "connecting smb -Worked".

I didn't test other functions because I usually rely on the SMB of wad manager.

Startup WiiMod 2.2, you'll get the "Error: failed to get TMD size" message.
AHBPROT is enabled... go to "check IOSs", then choose "check IOSs" again... after the check go back to the main menu and AHBPROT is lost....

Is there a way to get back to AHBPROT once a trucha bug IOS is loaded? I saw it is possible to go from AHBPROT to a trucha IOS, and from a trucha IOS to another trucha IOS... but how about going from a trucha IOS to AHBPROT?

Thanks a lot for this tool...

Ok so you reloaded a different IOS, yeah that will cause you to lose AHBPROT. As far as I know it is not possible to get it back after reloading another IOS.

Still not sure what to think about SMB, maybe related to that message but not really sure.

In addition to the SMB of wad manager, I didn't find any problem of v2.2
or I should say everything is almost the same as v2.1.

The missing of AHBPROT after executing "Check IOSs" is not new for
v2.2 . (v2.1 is the same) Suppose it just like "reload another IOS".

Other minor bug (either v2.2 or v2.1) like display wrong "Trucha Bug"
status of some IOSs (EX:IOS58) when AHBPROT is "activate".........
(not a big deal)

Is it possible to find the root cause of the starting error mesage "Failed to get TMD size"
and fix it ?

Yes checking IOSs is just like reloading another IOS because that is what it's doing, it's reloading each IOS and checking what permissions they have. And when you're in AHBPROT mode it hasn't yet checked the IOSs so it won't know which have trucha bug.

The error message "Failed to get TMD size" might be a messed up title or at least one that trips up the program. I don't really know as I don't see that message on my wii. So you would have to tell me if you see anything weird in title manager. I'm not even sure it's cause for alarm if it ends up not being a bad title, it just means when the program tried to read the titles in AHBPROT mode it wasn't able to be as detailed, when you load title manager it will read the missing info.

Seems the "Failed to get TMD size" messag is something to do with few
forwarder channel titles which can't be found or recognized .
(because I see this message again before entering the Any Title Manager
screen)

If that error message is not a big deal , is there other change to cause the
problem of SMB/wad manager doesn't work ? I would prefer staying v2.1
before this problem can be fixed in v2.2.
So far I can't find other benefit to use v2.2.

So the message is related to some messed up title?

That message has nothing to do with the problems you are seeing with wad manager, I'll look into the wad manager issues for the next release.
