The cIOS for Gamma doesn't support DL disc, so you need to create (or obtain) a DVD5 copy of SSBB, the stuttering on some games's videos is normal because this videos are played during the loading of the game, and hence the cIOS can only read DVD's at 3X speed this causes the chopiness and stuttering..!!

Well I guess that's lucky that SSBB runs at all especially since I used a DVD +R DL instead of a -R disc. The disc error comes at different times, so the game is playable. The video, when run with Wii pad hook type, however, does not have any stuttering or other problems which makes me wonder if the speed issue is the cause of video problems in WL Shake it.

i already put the ssbb dvd 9 but it crashes at videos so now i have dvd5 and its playable the videos you can see them from youtube

anywayz here is my problem:
i have both softchip and backup loader gamma but the game i cant run is Mario Kart when i open the game it shows the info about the wiimote but after that black screen and nothing
is there any problem with the game?

I had no problem with SSBB on my dvd9 - may have something to do with the that it is on +R disc. the only other thing i can think of is a bad image or bad burn that is causing my intermitent disc error. I'll wait for the next the version of the channel to see if it will work for me.

Could be, but I wouldn't trust much that is working because of that, if the WLSI if in the compatibility says nothing about your problem then you have a bad .iso or bad burn, and if it is on a DL too, then that is what is causing your problem, cause that game is supoused to be on a SL disc...!!

Hi..... I appreciate everyones hard work. I have soft modded one wii and all went well....Great! I decided to do my sisters for her 6 children and now I have a problem. I installed Homebrew and all works fine. I can launch a game from back up loader in Homebrew, but when I try to use the the Legend of Gamma channel it cycles and comes back to channels again, Wii Dumper does the same thing. I have read and searched, but can't fine my answer. I have tried re-installing from beginning, with the same results. I am afraid to to delete with any deleter, because I'm not sure what I'm deleting.

Any help would be appreciated. I have six kids here counting on me.

Thanks,
MJF

Any GC cards/controllers in => remove them

If I'm understanding correctly, you can launch the games from the HBC, but not from the channel, so:
What version of the channel? (force something?)
Maybe redownload it?

I was aable to get this working the 1st try.

My NTSC Wii came with 3.3U and I followed the guide by"djtaz" and installed Backup Launcher 0.3 Gamma with 002 fix and all the backup works fine. I did everything for stage 1 and stage 2 of the guide except install Starfall.

Just got a Wii fit and inserted the original disc and it's asking for an update. I exited out of the update by turning off the unit and now most of the other original game disc I'm try to play is showing "install update" on the disc channel. Did I do something wrong? Should I install update? How can I fix this?

Install starfall, you can still do it
(only the block disc update hack is important for you)

Thanks tj_cool, this is all new to me. Since I did the safe 3.3 update, the Wii is still showing 3.2U. Is this correct or should it say 3.3U in the firmware?

I have been reading posts where people are saying to use "Preloader" instead of "Starfall". Which is better? I only want to use Wii to play backups with the ability to have online play and nothing else.

Thanks for the reply ether and for the help as you did before. To clafiy, WLSI is on a single layer (same as others on a verbatin DVD-R dvd5) and I have played 80% through the game without any problems or disc errors, or launch troubles. The only problem is the slight stutter on the video but it does play the whole video through and then the game is as normal (playble), but if you have that video working I will dl a new one image. The last image was a torrent in the rar archive and came with a sfv, which I ran and came with 0 errors and winrar's test had no errors on the iso. I also use imgburn @ 4X and verify each image after the burn with a tray cycle in between. I have had only one verify error and coastered the disc.
I'm assuming that I'm the only one that has this problem on WLSI video and that everyone elses video is running okie dokie. I'll try to d/l a different torrent and see if that fixes the problem on WLSI.
As for SSBB, I'll try to burn on DVD -R 9 and if that doesn't work then DVD 5. What is missing from the DVD5 version of the disc, if you guys don't mind? thanks again.

Ohh ok, then it is ok the video sttutering, as I told you some games load and display a video at the same times, and if the loading it is very heavy, then it will make choppy the video, not to worry or care about it, it is complete normal, and for the SSBB DVD5 version you change all the videos in the game (SubSpace emmisary) for the first one (or a very short one) always, so you always are going to see the same video over and over...!!!

Just installed Preloader .27 and updated to .28 and I only used "Update blocker" with Hack.ini. In the preloader hack menu, I can't enable update blocker and it's the only hack listed. Any ideas.

Redid the hack.ini and all is working. No more updates when original games are inserted.

Thanks, all for helping. This is the best site!!!
