nevermind... got it... just needed to DL a new copy of key.bin...

EDIT:

Downloading from Wireless Wii to router to Wireless laptop - at just shy of 500kbytes/sec (488-494kbytes/sec actual speed)

Takes about 2.5 hours to dump a SL disc that way... now, let's see how many I can rent and rip, lol

Yes, but you would need to recompile it so that it uses the 249 designation of that IOS.

Just a question, if you were to install Waninkoko's IOS249, since it removes the same limitation, IOS249 would be able to replace this IOS5?

IOS249 would be better, as it can be uninstalled. That's about all that's keeping me from trying this out.

Any IOS can be removed, it's just not recommended even to install custom IOS at this moment in time.

True, but is there a program out capable of uninstalling IOS5? I know that a specially coded Wad Manager can do it, but that's not public supposedly. The IOS249 does have a Uninstaller program out right now.

Unfortunately there isn't. Why not just use Waninkoko's dumper? (Which uses his IOS249)

I would, but I've been hearing that it's quite slow when going from disc to SD. Isn't the latest thing in this thread that a http version has been made from the IOS5 dumper, and that it has a better speed (about 3 or so hours)?

v1.0 was slow as hell. v1.1 works fine.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
