IOS249 would be better, as it can be uninstalled. That's about all that's keeping me from trying this out.

I would, but I've been hearing that it's quite slow when going from disc to SD. Isn't the latest thing in this thread that a http version has been made from the IOS5 dumper, and that it has a better speed (about 3 or so hours)?
