I've been using the free "HD Tach" to measure read speeds; is it an accurate program for flash memory?

I've used HD Tach before to measure speeds, it should work fine, but would be very much dependent on the USB reader you're using.

I've also used Blackspeed on the PSP to measure my microSDs, but the microSD->Pro Duo adapter I'm using may be skewing those results as well.

There's not really a good DS program for measuring read speeds, although one can use cf_ds ( http://www.pineight.com/gba/#cf_bench ) to measure access times to make sure your card is up to snuff with how fast the flashcard is accessing data from the microSD.
