I'm just going to take a piss and say that once Nintendo has ACTUALLY come up with some decent fucking firmware update (pardon my french) one that doesnt involve like 14 stability updates that Japan is now using it against anti quake foundations, and probably adds like new features or a different interface, that's probably when a window will be open for exploits, right now its a cat and mouse game with smea vs ninty on how fast can you patch all our exploits *Seriously they should pay him for seeking these vulnerabilities at the rate at which he was going*, everything from 9.2 onwards has been complete BS from ninty, nothing new, just new stability firmwares. Once NX comes out (Hopefully) the focus will be off 3DS and onto something else, by then it will be just like the DS console, exploits being easier to work on when Ninty is behind your ass every now and then.

I know. But if I was Nintendo, that'd be a good thing. I'd probably save a lot of money just hiring him instead of dealing with him.
It's an even bigger risk. Imagine hiring people who exploit your work and you're going to hire them? All the more that he would search for vulnerability, he maybe against piracy, but he's not against breaking their ToS

They have ways of finding out if he's doing something wrong, and if they find out he is, they'd sue him into oblivion.

That still won't motivate them to hire him nor will he choose to work there. It's like you know your ex is screwing with you, and you're going to let her back into your life hoping she would do more good than damage?

Not saying his skills aren't worth mentioning, but Japanese companies like Sony and Ninty ain't Microsoft, they don't hire scene hackers.

Generally, a large salary's a lot more appealing than having a big creepy fanbase who analyzes your every word for hints at how they can pirate bad games.

It is a good idea to hire people who know how to break your stuff. Japanese companies don't do it anymore, but it's not that uncommon for job offers to be floated to people who find security flaws in places that matter.

Recently he posted up about how he helped Adobe find an exploit in Flash. All it got him was a nameplace on their changelog, and that was much about it. If he -does- get hired by Ninty which is probably unlikely, the sad reality would be the creepy fanbase would have a higher regard for him than Ninty would.

i just want to point out that by supporting emulators therefor roms he is obviously not against piracy but instead is more likely unwilling to be torn up in court like geohot was when he broke into what he called at the time "the so called, hack proof ps3" geohot had to pay a fine for all the unique ip's that directly responded on his twitter:teach:
