yeah i get what your saying wiipower but its like assuming ALL LU64 wii's can't be downgraded and black screen on apps etc etc not every single LU64 wii in existence does that thats just the point im trying to make you cant assume a single serial number will have 100% success rate older post in here says his worked on a LU57 assuming nintendo uses chronological order of any kind means a LU57 should be a newer model but that would also mean some newer models don't have boot1 fixed by some fluke (all this is assuming nintendo has some kinda order to the serial numbers like LU14 is an older console etc etc and LU64-65 being the newer ones ) would it be possible at all to find an exploit to read the area where people said it stores the SHA or MD5 i dont remember exactly whats stored in that location and also something about the fake sign bug on boot1 (i think thats why it wont load boot2 if its fake signed with the newer models because boot1 has the fake sign bug fixed) is there anyway to reintroduce it to boot1 if we had all the necessary keys etc etc

Anybody rewrite old boot2-64-v2.wad on wiis?

I see boot2-64-v2.wad in wii disc.

perhaps can install bootmii??

What do you mean? If you want to place BootMii boot2 on discs and then update with that disc, it might work. But it will brick the Wiis that are not compatible. It's really bad full brick like the one from not having preloader and deleting the system menu or it's IOS.

Thank your answer,I fully understand.

If my wii don't install bootmii as boot2,can't install old boot2.wad in my wii.

i guess mine was a launch wii too(dont really know, had 2.2j firmware on it - i was stuck on 2.2 until they released 3.3)

i bought it about november the year it was released

it was stocked up there for a long time for nobody wanted to buy it because it was a japanese system

now i have a fully functional USA wii thanks to homebrew

It can act as a swap drive but that isn't more RAM, it's slooow.
