Hi, Sorry if i post this issue in wrong thread,
newbie at this.
My son was playing with his wii when he one day was sad because his saves in Lego Pirats of the Carribean had disappear.
He showed me that he hade open settings, and the only thing i can see that can have messed this up is that he pushed att extract save to Emu Nand. How do i get his saved games back to the game again? Now all 4 save slots are showing 0,0 %.
If you copy the save to emunand, it does not delete it from the real nand, so it would still be there. You should download savegame_manager_gx, specify the path to your emunand (if you have any) and see if you see the game in either (or both) the real nand and the emunand. Also, check to see if he enabled "save emulation" or "full nand emulation" (going by memory here). That would cause the loader to look for and use save files from emulated nand instead of from real nand. This is probably what happened, short of having actually erased the save file.

- Yeah, if you're lucky he just changed it from real NAND to emuNAND. Then you'd just change it back and everything would be fine.
- If you're not that lucky, he was already using emuNAND and he extracted a nearly unused save from real NAND and overwrote the one he was using from emuNAND. In that case he just lost his save unless he had a backup somewhere.

I saw another report about ocarina on googlecode.
Check if your path to GCT is "sd" or "SD".
Edit the GlobalGX to "SD" in uppercase.
I'll fix it when I can.
Editing the gct path in the GlobalGX to SD did not help. In fact, it prevents new gct files from being created using the cheat code text files.
It looks like something else is going on.

there's also a report about DML detection not working anymore.
I changed the place where the detection is done (at the start of the loader) because when using Hermes cIOS v4, it couldn't access the NAND after a cIOS reload, so I do it before reloading to cIOS 22x.
But it require AHBPROT ( or the new HBC v1.1.0 tag) in meta.xml
I can check it in two different places to be sure it's correctly detected.

Tell me if your DM(L) version is correctly detected (look in the credit).
I changed the detection few minutes before submitting r1202 and didn't test it enough. tell me if the old one I had in r1201 mod9 worked better.
I converted all the DM(L) timestamp manually, maybe I made some mistakes (all converter I found tried to convert it with timezone!)
My version of DML is detected just fine (2.2+) with 1202 and was working fine with r1201 mod9, as well.

Ok thanks. Where can i find Savegame_manager_gx? I know i can google it but, want to find the right page at once. Came to wiibrew but didnt find the right file to download there.
Have notice now that the saves on Lego Indiana Jones also was gone.

Where do i find "save emulation" on the wii? The only thing i find about emulation is in settings before i start a game on Usb loader. and click game load. There is an option "Nand Emulation" says Use Global, but can´t change it. When i does it says only available on D2X Cios...
Do u know any guides or maybe have the time to guide shortly? Thanks anyway.

You would go into the USB Loader GX's settings menu, then "Game Load", then look for save emulation and click on it until it shows "none" or "off". Since you have another missing save file, chances are you did not delete a specific one, and the steps I just provided my solve your issue.
Let us know if that worked or not.

Cyan:
I thought USB Loader GX only supported d2x cIOS's, because whenever I've tried to run games using Waninkoko 38rev17 installed on slot 247, I get a prompt warning me that only d2x is supported. However, reading through recent threads, I've seen comments that seem to contradict this.
Can you clarify what cIOS's are supported and whether they have to be installed on specific slots to work?
I would like to experiment with 38rev17 and Hermes v5.1 for problematic VC N64 games, but would prefer to stay withing USB Loader GX, since it is what I use for everything, essentially replacing the System Menu.

Is USBLoaderGX 3.0 compatible with ocarina codes? My USBLoaderGX was installed around 3 years ago (not sure what version it is), and it's not compatible with Ocarina at all. The moment I turn ocarina on (even without activating any codes) and try to launch the game it will go to a blank screen. =/
Also is USBLoaderGX 3.0 compatible with Wii 4.1U? I didn't update to 4.2 yet.

It is compatible with Ocarina, but there is bug right now, when using the feature with GCN games. It works just fine with Wii games.
As for the Wii SM version, I don't see how that would make it incompatible, so long as you have a recent cIOS. You should install the latest d2x version for best compatibility.

Thank you.
I'm kinda new to Wii modding. Is it possible to update to newest cIOS (I'm not sure if this was even installed, I actually got someone else to install USBLoaderGX, Homebrew and Neogamma on my Wii) on the Wii itself or do I need to install something to update it? My Homebrew channel is completely empty, so do I need to install something like Homebrew Browser to update cIOS? The weird thing is USB:\apps has no "homebrew" folder at all, however I still have a homebrew channel on my Wii. O.o
If I run all the games fine (without ocarina of course) do I still need to update cIOS? Thanks.

Just want to report a minor bug:
Using Icon/Banner view mode, after selecting a channel and in full screen banner view, pressing (+) and (-) to go to next/previous banner are inverted.
Thats not a bug, you can change how the + and - works in Options > GUI Settings > Flip X.

You sure have a cIOS if you're launching Wii games from USB. Your HBC is installed in the Wii's internal memory. I would suggest you read up a bit on the support area of the forum. You could mess up your Wii if you don't know what you are doing. That being said, if things are working for you, then maybe don't do anything else.
At the very least, you could download the latest USB Loader GX files and replace your old ones in the sd:/apps folder so that you can take advantage of all the wonderful improvements the team has made over the past 3 years.

I've added a dropbox mirror to my GC custom banner files (check my sig) :)
Are you sure you don't have it set up as such?
Check the general settings menu, under GUI options there is an entry where you choose which direction the games should scroll when pressing left right.
I'm going by memory by the options go something like: "left/next - right/previous".
Garro beat me to the punch.

The only thing i have when i enter settings in Usbloader GX, and press on the icon with two gearwheels is "Nand Emulation" but when i click it, it says Error : Only available on D2X cIOS.
Have found other options about Nand, but it is EmuNand path and its path is to my sd card.
and two other options in features Export all saves to Emunand and Dump Nand to EmuNand,

Don´t know if a new Version on UsbLoader would help. Dont know which version i got. Or if a need a new version of cIOS? But if i update cIOS my softmod will disappear. or?

Sorry, I don't have access to my Wii right now so I don't recall exactly where in the settings is that option. It's either under "Game Load" or "Features". I'll check when I get home if you don't find it first. You are looking for something like "save emulation" and you have to change it to "none", as opposed to "partial" or "full".

Actually, that kinda kills all our hypothesis on this one. It can't do game save emulation without d2x so unless you're using a 222 version but have the game set to load from 249 or something, we may have diagnosed the problem wrong here.
