I guess I found a real bug this time:
FW/Channels made with CRAP don't show on real nand mode- Banner view mode
Not that I'll use them but the empty channels slots look ugly :)

Edit: also messing with them, like clicking and trying to preview then switching mode causes weird behavior/slowdowns/freezes... ugly stuff u know
Well, but why would you want forwarder channels if you are using a USB loader?
If you don't want to get rid of them altogether, you could hide them.
Is there something that fwd channels allow yo to do, specifically?

Pokemon adventure 2 keeps telling me my system memory is full.
Though there's enough space.
I think those saves are being corrupted somehow.....

Does Modmii install Usbloader or i have to do that manually?
Updating your cIOS shouldn't get rid of the GX you already have
but
if you want to update what you already have to the latest beta version here's r1202 :
http://www.mediafire.com/?1voyas284vs6qiv
Just open it and put the boot.dol file from the 249 folder in the /apps/usbloader gx folder replacing the existing one.

I know we could hide, but what's special about these banners, fixing the issue might fix other banner problems too :)
I see your point. I don't think this is something that was under consideration when the banner feature was developed.
The weird thing is that these Crap channels show up just fine in WiiFlow 4+ (What puzzles me is that both apps use the same code for banners) :wtf:
:wtf:

Is the NMM feature not working for anyone else? I tried setting Super Mario Sunshine to use it, but it always loads the saves off my memory card rather than my SD or USB. I'm using DM 2.0, as 2.2 never worked for me.

When the memory card is inserted NMM is automatically turned off, you should try again after removing it.

For ppl having problems downloading custom banners for GC please use the dropbox URL (check my sig)
Is there an option to prevent downloading of custom banners in usblgx?
prevent!
yes don't check the banners mark after pressing 1
If you mean "disable" you need to ask Cyan
:)
Thank you , love your work, but those banner downloads took forever, and there's no way to stop them once the've started.
So I was just wondering, but I should've looked better, lol!

Humm, I'm pretty sure there's a Cancel button when downloading covers and banners.
When clicking Cancel button, it will stop after the current downloaded file. (but yeah, it will try to complete the current download first).

The checkbox are now automatically checked (because users usually checked them all manually anyway).
just uncheck the one you don't want, instead of checking all the one you want (it's faster). best way would be to keep in memory the checked boxes for next time you open that menu.

If it's too long to download from the Wii, I guess there's a link with all banners?
extract them (all) on SD manually.

Or just use our default banner for gamecube (with the game's logo :P), it's fast and doesn't take any space.

The money is not the problem.
It's just that I like my (old) setup, and don't like updating when everything works. (don't fix it if it's not broken).
And it takes 3-6 months to reinstall everything. (yes, I use a looot of things, I really hate formating/reinstalling time. last time was in 2007 :P).

After you've got your PC set up with everything as you like, you should make an image of your OS partition so that if you have a crash again, you can simply restore it from the image. I've done that on W2000 & XP a few times over and it's really easy.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
