got the same issue

From what i've read, this seems to be an issue with the nightly versions of Luma.
If you can still access LumaUpdater try installing the normal Luma build from there.
I don't know how to help if you aren't able to access it, though. Sorry.

Edit:
You could try downloading the normal Luma payload from https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/tag/v6.3.1 and replacing the arm9loaderhax.bin on your SDs root with the one you downloaded.
That should have the same effect as updating through LumaUpdater.

Booting the Luma3DS emuNAND (from 9.2 sysNAND Menuhax)
And go to System Settings in emuNAND in Luma3DS, it's the same update process like you did on rxTools back in the day?

Just to make sure sysNAND doesn't get updated by a bug or something.
I asked this question just because I plan on updating emuNAND with Luma3DS, which also has less bootrate than rxTools, atleast for me.

Yup it still works.I just did it on my old 3ds since I don't want to brick on a decrpyt9 2.1 downgrade before sun and moon come out.If you are on a new 3ds then you don't have to downgrade for a9lh which is the only reason I would switch to a9lh instead of doing this, but since I'm on a old3ds then I'm going to wait it out awhile longer.

Try downloading the file from https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/tag/v6.3.1 again and putting that arm9loaderhax.bin on your SD card. I updated my Luma YESTERDAY by downloading that exact version and still got the error; but for some reason using the newly-downloaded .bin worked for me. Idk how or why that is exactly, but it worked.

Yes.. but then I discover homebrew work "StarUpdater" is not maintain no more. So perhaps this is issue... I will go to work soon, when I come back I will post result of

Don't complain about the advice people give you!
Especially if you're not even trying it out.
If you had read only this one page, you'd already have your answer,
as I already told someone with your exact problem to do this and he confirmed that it fixed it.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
