I hope game updates can be added separately for the future. Because many games already need an additional download to continue playing later (LA Noire, Wolfenstein) and there will certainly be more in the future because the publishers are too stingy to use cards larger than 16GB.

Don't forget the Switch also has that annoying thing where if you ever reset the system, you carts will refuse to play until you update them to whatever game version you had before.

Edit: Which now that I think about it, will also apply to the xci backups.

Nintendo can scan cards without us being able to know they've done it, can't they? I mean, how would we find out?

Hackers/CFW devs are always taking the OS and its latest updates apart to see what it does and what's changed. Even if they don't analyse every single routine, there's always that chance of them finding it.

They could, but it's still a massive risk for them to do something illegal. If they spied on your data and somebody leaked this it would be a massive PR disaster.

I’d like homebrew without having to use any paper clip or dongle at all! Just install once then have everything boot off of the sd card or better yet if people could find a way to install custom apps on the menu

No Im not. I've never talked about any of the points I've talked in here anywhere before. They are entirely new arguments, pointing out entirely new issues with TX' marketing.

They are all based on your basic misunderstanding, plus some NLP to manipulate people into believing you.

TX' OS allows neither option. They've decided for you

They don't have emunand and aren't going to delay launching because of that.

Also - TX solution requires you to also update to the newest firmware (thats demanded by a game you want to play) - on sysnand - while frying efuses.

TX don't require you to play games that require an update. It's up to you whether you update or not. You'll still be able to use your switch if you update, you'll still be able to use SX OS if you update. You might lose the ability to do some future things & sure it's fine to discuss that. But you do it in such an idiotic way that everyone turns off to everything you say.

If you want to use your switch online then don't hack it. It's not like anyone with a low firmware switch has been playing online anyway.

It makes sense tho: if you have the savedata of some 1.1 version of a game you won't be able to load the savedata on the 1.0 version. Using a seperate profile and starting a new game or just deleting the savedata will allow you to play the game again, without the update.
