I made 4 atari channels that are very close to what are here. If you are cool with me releasing them I'll give them to whoever.

I think they turned out pretty good! I used pong sounds for all the channels, because I looked through a lot of atari music and sound effects and the pong sounds are the least annoying/most recognizable.

As far as the forwarder goes I just used waninkinko's simple forwarder. What do the rest of them use?

Well any criticism or help with the forwarder is appreciated.

I plan on doing:
N64
MSX
Amiga
C64
DOS
NEC PC9801
Amstrad CPC
Spectrum ZX
Colecovision
NeoGeoPocket

Job well done with the four atari channels. I love them, hope i can get them some day. Hope a nice update will come for those atari emulators too, as they seem a bit dated compared to the NES, SNES, and Visual Boy Emulators.

Should should make one for Atari Jaquar. I have all the roms for that system too, but can't play them yet, someday I am hoping we will be able to though.

So I have downloaded your Channel Forwarders, but can you give me a step by step instruction on how to install them on my wii? I don't want to mess that part up. I have BootMii and Boot 2 and I have something else, can't remember what it is called at the moment, but it does a boot from the SD card when you boot up the wii.

I have a WAD Manager on my wii, so simple instructions should be good enough to get me going. Thanks for all the hard work.

Put the channel wads into the wad (or wads) folder on your SD card, load the Homebrew Channel and use wad manager to install the channel wads. I noticed you said you have bootmii as boot2 so as long as you have a NAND backup you should have no worries.

Is there a version of the Genesis Plus GX forwarder that works for USB? i.e usb:/apps/genplusgx/boot.dol instead of sd:/apps/genplusgx/boot.dol.

If not, is anybody up to the task of making one?

I'd have a go myself but I have no idea where to start with compiling these things.

Thanks!

Alright I think I have the forwarder issue worked out. Does anyone have the forwarder splash screen that troy was using?

Yes, I meant to say I have Bootmii as Boot2. I also have a backup of my NAND. I also have a feature that boots from the SD card (forgot what that was called) in case the wii gets bricked.

I'll get this a try tomorrow night and wil let you all know how it goes for me.

Keith

I just installed the eight (8) channel forwarders using WAD Manager Version 1.5 and all eight of the channel forwarders work like a charm. Thanks Troy for providing these and thanks jsugarsmacks for the assistance to get me going.

I highly recommend this to anyone who knows what they are doing.

Keith

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?

    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
