Anyway, I agree with those that say overestimating figures make these impressive sales figures lackluster, but this is not something I'd consider a failure.
On the discussion of driving the industry forward, I believe that's one of the reasons Nintendo is so successful. Their company is filled to the brim with visionaries that honestly see the way the market and industries is going. Does that mean the competitors are stupid? No, but at the same time, while Nintendo tries their best to look at the past, and present for good ideas... the others live in the past and adapt their old technology with new tech. It can be expensive keeping with the old tradition of making graphics more realistic. That's why I honestly think that Nintendo will be the ones to flourish in the future, while Sony and Microsoft continue to try to find their own place in the future market. Hopefully, Microsoft shows a neat console to compete with the Wii U, because I'm not too keen on the PS4 at this point in time.
