Originally beginning life as another installment in the True Crime franchise, Truce Crime: Hong Kong eventually became Sleeping Dogs when Square Enix acquired the publishing rights. The title was released in 2012 to critical praise and pretty great sales for a fresh new IP. Of course, this is Square Enix we're talking about, so they labeled the game's performance a disappointment anyway. Some even said there might never be a followup. I'm happy to report those naysayers were wrong... Wrong Kong. United Front Games I, for one, am so glad to hear that we'll be seeing more of Sleeping Dogs, even if it isn't called Sleeping Dogs in the future. To just kill off the franchise so early would've been a... true crime. Waiting for 2014 is certainly going to be tough. On the bright side, we've still got face kicks. Yeah, that'll help.
