Hi all. This is my first post on GBATemp regarding a problem.
So I have 2 wiiware titles (defend your castle and wario ware diy showcase) and 8 VC titles
whenever i launch any of them, they just black out my screen and my television says there's no signal. The only VC channel that works on my wii and TV is Pokemon blue. (HDMI and RCA)
I've tried all titles on both HDMI (through Wii2Hdmi adapter) and RCA (included av cable through a rca to side av converter, my tv has no rca ports) and they dont work.

Does anyone know why this happenes and How I can fix it?
Thanks.

Damn... different possible problems...

First and probably more obvious, your TV doesn't support the EDTV signal.
But that's not probable because you wouldn't even see the home wii menu.

Second possible problem, might be that your WiiWare titles doesn't support the EDTV signal, thus, they boots in 480i, and probably your TV doesn't support 480i with the Wii2HDMI adapter.

Third possible problem... your Wii video port might start to get faulty.

Fourth possible problem, you have a faulty Wii2HDMI adapter.

Fifth possible option, you have bad copies of wads. Reinstalling them might solve the issue as long as you completely delete the title's tickets with WadManager and the wad itself (of the title you want to delete)

Sixth... probably a combination of two or more?

Maybe a cIOS/IOS problem?

Strange, I brought my wii 29 days ago and the adapter only 26 days ago. Plus, about 480i, I tried it using RCA signal to no avail.
I don't see why my adapter would be faulty, considering i brought it only 26 days ago, on the 4th may. I haven't tried checking the WADs though. Thanks for the help.

It's most likely a cios issue. If it had been the vii, I'd say it's the fat library of d2x 52. You want to be using that ob wii and vwii, not beta 53. It contains no fat library, so wiiware games are unlikely to work.

If it were possibly a CIOS issue, what would you reccomend I install?
Post a syscheck here.
Are these wad channels installed on the sd card, or do you have a Sneek/Uneek setup?
Are you launching them from the Wii home menu? If so i would suggest launching them from either Wiiflow or USBLoaderGX (use this btw).
It's most likely because you're using wads (or versions of games) that are out of your console's region, so they give you black screen when using composite cables. Though that shouldn't happen with an hdmiAdapater.
Just use the 2 loaders above they should load.

I tried to use USBLoaderGX to load them, but that was out of the question.
How exactly? It's the same procedure, you just launch them from the loader instead of the home menu, and with the benefit of bypassing the region limitations..
They were not installed on an sd card.
On the Wii's nand? Same, the above would work.
But I haven't tried installing correct region VC and wiiware titles though. I'll try that. Thanks
Pokémon Blue is a made up wad and is not official, and i know it worked for you, i just thought you should know.

You should install the cIOS base 57 in the slot 249, do the first step in the guide here.
BTW, do you have "region free everything" "region free WiiWare" etc. In Priiloader? To check, just boot into Priiloader (holding the reset button on boot should load it), and change the settings there. If it doesn't create a "hacks_hash.ini" file on the root of the sdcard, then you might need to get one from the internet or create one yourself.

I did install cIOS base 57 d2x-beta52 in slot 249 a day after I got my wii and installed homebrew channel..
Then how come the syscheck is saying this "IOS249[37] (rev 21006, Info: d2x-v6): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0"?
..Or you are giving us a old syscheck report (i don't know why you would do that)..

I tried uninstalling the wiiware and vc titles and reinstallng EUROPEAN ones, because as it turns out they were from the USA. Sure enough- they all work. Thanks to everyone for the support

Just a disclaimer: some, if not the majority of the PAL versions of VC releases run at 50hz ,and not 60hz. So if you want to play VC games at full speed then you should get the NTSC releases instead.
Or if it doesn't matter to you, then just ignore what i just said eh..
For Wiiware releases, both of them (PAL & NTSC) are the same so no worries there.
