Ah, I didn't clean the SD card connectors, they're already really really clean, didn't touch them. Anyways, thanks for the luck, I'll really need it.

Wiil need to make a check list before installing in general.
No 1 Micro sd is very important, so before disasembly test if the micro sd is working, dawnload a demo on micro sd , check in data management, play the demo etc.

In your case post a new thread for help ,post more pictures with camera, and microscope, check the fcc is conected ok, check the emmc is connected, check the core connection, avoid resoldering yet, can by a bad core, test with multimeter continuity on caps from pad to one side of cap , and so on., check visualy the pins inside micro sd soket., inspect the traces on qsb maybe is damaged.

Will do tomorrow, one thing I didn't mention was that every solder point and ground had continuity. That's why I thought the flux was shorting everything.

I did use the SD card (400gb) and transferred a free game onto it before installing SX Core. Still will try a new 64gb card tomorrow.

Anyway, I reseated the NAND and the Core connector twice during my resoldering. I will post in help tomorrow with way more pictures from my microscope.

Stupid rookie mistake, used wrong boot.dat file instead of using beta build which supports 10.1.0 (my fw).

And am currently formatting my 400gb sd card to start dumping my NAND!

Thaks to all who tried to help me!

EDIT: I formatted the 400gb to FAT32 and converted it to a primary partition and it works now. Am currently backing up my NAND

So after coming down from the initial high of "fuck yeah I have a modded switch" I'm now starting to think about the actual nand set up.

I did a nand backup after the install, but I didn't set up emunand. I just went ahead and started installing games.

I have no intention of playing anything online right now, I have dns servers set and the switch has pretty much only ever been out of airplane mode when I updated it from brand new to 10.0.4. I don't really care about online gaming at all, I pretty much use gaming to escape people because quite frankly you all fucking suck. I'm a single player experience type of guy. I really don't even care if it gets banned but I'd avoid it if possible.

For someone who doesn't care about a ban, is running emunand a safety net for bricking and how hard is it to set up when I have about 200GB of content already installed?

Emunand is a safety net for bricking and the easiest way to set it up is this.

Copy you nand backup to you pc to store it.

Rename the sxos/backup folder to sxos/emunand
Rename the nintendo folder to emutendo

All you transferred games will show up as playable on emunand.

if you are using SX Core or SX Lite, do NOT use Tinfoil's Incognito feature. This will cause a brick and we're not sure it's even reversable. For those that bricked their units with ChoiDujourNX, sit tight. We have a solution in the works.

Those that are having 'stuck on joycon logo' issues after installing their sx core, a solution seems to have been found i have included an attached this close-up corner of the erista motherboard with the area you should check, this two parts can be easy damaged when removing the nvidia metal shield and replacing it back. - EDIT: -- The Mariko motherboard, has similar two caps in that same area as highlighted in the above erista photo.

Hi Matias! I´m in Argentina too! how did you buy the SX Core? did you buy from txswitch? did you have to pay extra money using DHL? your experience would be really helpful to me :)

Thanks!!

I get a tester Sample , and i have to pay $200 pesos to the dhl delivery guy . When you realize the purchase trough remeber to gave them your cuit number , it will be a faster . i havent tried txswitch and i dont know wich payment methods they used ,, i have used aliexpress and they have a good reinversed process i have my money reinversed several time if i didnt like the product and they accept visa credit cards . Other places inform credit cards payment but the process pass trough Paypal even if you dont know about it and you will get you credit card denied , if that happends to you , just try Aliexpress.
Are you doing the installation yourself ?

Fresh from the manufacturer of the mashroom site...... needs flux, solder wick and maybe replacement caps.

P.s This is not my work just another horror story.

You need all the information not just the picture, read and watch the picture.

"Hello everyone,

I followed every step of the manual for the sx core install but I see no lights and my screen remains black. I tested conductivity through the capacitors, chip and battery and everything seems to be fine.

The only problem is that I tore one of the joycon rail ribbon but for me that doesn't explain the black screen not even showing my battery loading.

Here are pictures of the soldering

Any advice that might help? I'm out of solutions

Thank you in advance "

hahaah i would charge him double just to look at it

Well that sucks. Backed up, renamed the folders and booted the switch now all the games are gone.

Looks like they are actually gone too. Given I now have 337GB free on a 366GB card.

that makes literally no sense ive done this many times.
the emunand is literally a clone of the sysnand with a new folder

all the file links etc are there.

dunno how you managed that

Yeah neither do I. I only did three things. Copied the backup, renamed two folders. I didn't delete anything.

Oh well at least emunand is set up now. Looks like I will have to start installing games again.

Hi I finished installing the SX Lite into my Switch light. After connecting everything back up. I powered on to test, I get a blue light, flashes then turns solid green. But the Switch is only showing a blank screen, backlight is on. No Boot.dat screen...
What could the issue be?

OK so looking further into it. I'd say that it's because the backup was from the switch was fresh with nothing on it, I should have backed up the current state of the nand yeah?

No big deal. I had a lot of trash games on there that I would probably never look at again anyway.
