Update without burning fuses or make an emummc and update that. I’d use an emummc as there’s a lower chance of something going wrong.I have a Switch with FW 1.0.0. Is there any purpose to retaining this old version? I've successfully installed Atmosphere, did full NAND backup, backed up unique keys, etc. Of course, when I hold 'R' while opening the Album app, it doesn't open homebrew due to no app, game, or whatever having ever being installed. In order to install an app, game, or whatever, it asks about updating. What should I do from here?

You for sure shouldn’t update & burn fuses though as systems with only 1 fuse burnt are very uncommon.
And on 1.0.0 you’re able to reboot to a payload without RCM, which may be more convenient for some people, and it may get some sort of software coldboot in the future.
Also uh, mind if I DM you about something?
Yeah, that should work.So once I've made the emuNAND and boot into that, I can connect to WiFi and update it and then be fine?
Do you reinstall all of your eShop games whenever you update your firmwareDo you have to reinstall files you've installed through xci/nsp if you update firmware?
There is a JKSV for the Switch you can try.is there a homebrew that transfer save data between a game that has different region & titleid? like jksv on 3ds?
been searching for months but found nothing.
Update Atmosphere.hello guys, i recently did the update to 9.1.0 from 8.1.0 and my old atmosphere doesn't work. I need some help, i don't have emunand
Yes.If there is a update to firmware, can I just update it on stock sysnand and play on outdated firmware on emunand? I only use cfw for one offline game.

Unpatched refers to the hardware because the exploit used relies on the hardware of the console. And since it is exploiting the hardware but not the software, firmware is irrelevant. The exploit also makes use of something to boot into RCM which requires a jig, paperclip, or equivalent. The alternative is to solder a modchip inside the console (which technically uses the same exploit but can bypass the need for a jig).Hi all,
I haven't really followed a guide for homebrew for a few years now and the terminology is confusing me. I have looked at the stickies and it appears I have an "unpatched" switch (bought ages ago). However, I am on the newest firmware 9.1.0. Does the firmware that I am on have no bearing on whether or not I can load emunand? Is the paperclip/jig method absolutely required?
Thanks in advance (Y)

Sorry, I've misread the table. Please ignore my question.Excellent thanks! So the maximum firmware mentioned in the guides refers to the max firmware of your custom firmware and not current firmware then?
What firmware is your console on?hello everyone! I am new to all of this which explains why I'm here posting. I have been reading around for quite a few hours and I must say that I was able to follow for a while and now I am lost. I have atmosphere and hekate and everything installed on my switch. The thing that I am having trouble with is seeing and realizing that the games all have to be downloaded again. Which I am reading is something that happens. So you have to take this game data and move it to your computer? and it's called an nsp file? I have fire emblem three houses with all of the dlc downloaded on my switch. I do not have the game cartridge for it. I'm stuck with trying to get that information onto my PC to then turn around and load it back onto my switch using goldleaf? that is far as my brain can take me. I've been watching many tutorials online and reading on here but any help or push in the right direction is very appreciated.
Going online with a hacked Switch can result in a ban. There is no guarantee but it is not safe either.is it safe to get game updates just from the UI saying an update is available? IVe updated a dozen or so games this way so far with no issues but not sure if this will likely result in a ban. Otherwise im always offline
