Going online with a hacked Switch can result in a ban. There is no guarantee but it is not safe either.

And this is what I read, but I can never figure out what "triggers" a ban. All I want to do is make a Switch with CFW and Capture Sight to create a second Dudubot, using a cannibalized controller to control it via an Arduino or something... so if I were to do that and only use Counter Sight to see the raid seed, would that be suspicious enough to result in a ban?

Thats the thing; nobody knows because Nintendo are the ones who ban people. The only way to be safe is to never go online with a hacked console. To look at it another way, which is worth more to you, one console's online functionality or hacking?

Well in that case, how do the Dudubots work then? Those have to be Switches with automated input and they can see raid seeds if you offer it as a trade, which is what Capture Sight does, and that's only installable with Atmosphere.

ok so I don't know exactly what I did but I found a tutorial that showed me how to back up all the info from my switch to my SD card. My SD card didn't have enough memory so I had to fill it half way then dump that info onto my PC then I put the SD card back in and got the rest of the data from my Switch to my SD card. When I went back and started my switch and went into atmosphere, Fire emblem three houses was able to be played without my switch asking for me to download it. So from there I was able to add cheats and apply them to my game. Not sure why it kept asking me to download the game the first time I tried it and why this time it says I have the game and all dlc files on my switch.

Dudubot is a trade bot on Sword/Shield that will tell you the number of "frames" (day skips) until a particular shiny in the den of the Pokemon you show it in trade, therefore the Switch it is traded to must have CFW. It uses Capture Sight to get that value and returns it on a webpage. Only issue is that it's majorly under demand and there are only 3 bots available with a free-for-all system.

Ah, gotcha. I guess it'll just be best to do the local trade/local raid method of checking it for myself only. I am really curious on how Dudubot's creators did it though... technically speaking, they have 3x Switches on 24/7 with CFW that are constantly doing trades with no bans. It just boggles the mind...

Amiiswap alternative? I just found out about Amiiswap, and wanted to try it, but found out the project is 'done/dead'(according to people on their discord), they say there are other options available, but my google-fu fails to find anything other than nfc tags.

Team Xecuter is making the chip at least. Testing samples will be shipping soon AFAIK. I wasn't able to get one as I was a week late... even though I've done many modchips on other consoles.

If I were the person asking, I would stop updating my Switch Lite for now, or buy one now and not open it until the mod chip is released.

From what I understand, you don't approach it. Turn off the logging settings and it might work, but you're still taking a massive risk.
