According to the OP, it was originally a unit that was sold with FW 4.0.1.first 5.1.0 unit?
Serial: XAJ100255######
You probably got a refurbished one, thats why it came with the last FW update.

Wait, did the switch come with 5.1.0 from the factory?DOES NOT LOAD PAYLOAD
Firmware: 5.1.0
Serial:XAW100826XXXXX
so guys my switch that i just bought from target 07/16/18 ,yesterday, doesnt boot payload.
I use both a paper clip pins 1 and 10 and an jig i bought from ebay using pins 1 and 10 to get into RCM mode.
I use SX OS 1.3 bootdat and to deliver their payload i used nxloader using my note 8 android phone.
I have an old XAW100289XXXXX that works perfectly with this method.
I also bought another switch recently bought and never used on 4.1.0 and XAW100782XXXXX. Using both jig and paperclip works fine with delivering payload.
So i dont think its user error.
Lol, my question is why is my newest switch from target not able delivery payload. Its a part of the listed unpatched serials lol.
Nintendo is up to something for sure. I watched the asian guys video on not being able deliver payload also. He uses pins 1 and 2 jig from team xecuter.

Oh, okay, good to hear.sorry i just clerified it above, i was on 4.1.0
There could be an overlap, perhaps? We have XAW1008317 and XAW1008570 reported unpatched here.
If this one is a patched unit (XAW100826) the rule should be more complicated than just "inferior to"...
Where is the unpatched XAW1008570? In the OP, its reported as patched. We have XAW1008317 and XAW1008570 reported unpatched here.

Cutuff point for that serial number is XAW70018 at least so you're good. Never hurts to double check though.I have a unit coming to me with serial XAW700177. I looked at the list of patched/unpatched serial numbers and can't really tell if mine is ok. Seems to sit in the middle of the pack on the list. Any ideas, please?

No point! Since I got a (Smashed the stack with a 0x0000 byte SETUP request!) by using Command line with TegraRcmSmash1213 and biskeydump payload...
just did an even exchange at my local target. they had a bunch of the Serial:XAW100826XXXXX
so i had to ask the target rep to dig in the back and got a XAW100725XXXXX. Did my payload in the car and i am happy now.
