Switch atmosphere 1.4 Zelda Botw freeze

While playing Zelda Breath of the Wild, for months it had never happened to me that it crashed and exited the game. suddenly the screen froze. do I have to worry? I don't want to update, I'm afraid of losing my saves. Can I update with AIO updater? i checked my sd, and it is ok.
