It hasn't been updated for a while now. The version with FW18.01 support has been a pre-release version for months now. I'm not trying to tell anyone to hurry up but if the devs have chosen to move on to other projects I'd like to know.

Yes. By the way, the pre-release has now turned into a full release. Probably because the dev did not see anything further that needed to be updated from the pre-release.

Just because it hasn't been "updated" in a while doesn't necessarily make it a bad thing or even "dead". The important thing is....does it support the latest OFW as of now? That's an absolute yes. If it still works, what's there to "update"? Not every OFW update necessitates an update from atmosphere, some (like 1.8.0.1) are minor enough that there isn't a need to do so.

The latest update is just a few months old, I don't understand what could make you think that it might be abandoned

Just check the latest releases, 1.6.2 was in October 28th, then 1.7.0 in March so that's a bigger gap than usual, but it's also known that it's the end of the Switch lifecycle, meaning less FW updates, therefore less Atmosphere updates too

Short answer : yes it's still being supported

This is a useless question, if it is true then what? It's not like you have any other option.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to know if that's the case and that there's no option, though.

Yes he could have just Googled Atmosphere and got his answer, but you guys are taking your bad days out on him.

idk, just a glance at the repo before posting would have shown new commits in the past week + 1.7.0 no longer being in pre-release

I think it's because the OP's logic seems to be an extreme one. The first thing the overwhelming majority would do in such a situation is to ask whether the current version of atmosphere works with 1.8.0.1. Not jump to the worst case scenario and suspect that the dev has abandoned it. After all, he is savvy enough to go to github and even know about "release/pre-release" tags, why didn't he think of asking whether it works first?

The weird part is that he is already aware that it works with 1.8.0.1 as per his post, so what exactly was he expecting other than that?

🚨 **System update detected for Switch: 18.1.0**

Do not update until further notice.

Sounds like not a big deal. Hopefully Nintendo don't make anybody cry.

I think he said he won't do Switch 2. So maybe you don't buy a Switch 2?

So much entitlement here.
Don't fix what's not broken. It works fine.
What exactly would you "knowing" what devs are up to help you? Are you going to take on the legacy or make an alternative from scratch? if so, chop chop, we'd also all like to know what you have in mind.
