Nintendo Switch 10.0.4 - recently replaced SD card files and updated to Atmosphere to 0.13.0 + hekate 5.3.0. Boots hekate completely fine but every time I launch CFW I get bright BLUE screen and have to hard reset. Anyone else getting this? Replaced SD card files twice and same issue.

Are you launching fusee-primary from Hekate? Try and launch the fusee payload directly without Hekate and report back.

That seemed to fix it. I wasn't booting fusee-primary but launching emuMMC. But injecting fusee directly as you said runs perfectly. Thank you for that. This the way it's supposed to work?

I'm having exactly the same issue. I can boot using fusee-primary directly, but not through Hekate->emuMMC as it crashes into a blue screen. If someone has a fix, it would be very helpful. Also, when booting fusee-primary, does it use the emulated NAND? or the SYSNAND?

Hi, I just downloaded everything from SDsetup and followed the guide, I see that my hekate ini file says fusee-secondary.bin and the guide says primary, but I don't want to mess with it. The guide is from 2016 and god knows what has changed since then. I have opened an issue request on GitHub and the hekate dev has answered but unfortunately didn't work. I am waiting for his reply again and see what he says. I will update here if it works.

The guide is very old. Too many people are booting Atmosphere incorrectly because the guides are never updated.

Put fusee-primary.bin in the bootloader/payloads folder.

You’ll need this line in Hekate_ipl.ini, check the link above:
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee-primary.bin

It uses whatever is set in your emummc.ini if found and you can verify that you're in emuNAND by looking at the version string in system settings (it should end with an E if you are in emuNAND or S if sysNAND)

Man I really have to lose the habit of trying to staying update...
Again, did everything okay, checked everything... I was using God knows what Atmosphere + Hekate version (firmware is 10.0.0), and made the mistake of trying to update to the latest one

Now it just reachs the "Atmosphere" screen to blackscreen 4 ever. Don't know what I'm doing wrong... That sux. I'm not in the mood for that.

*Managed to revert it back to Atmosphere 0.12 and it's working again. I only wanted to try SNES Online on 10.0.4, but, f* that. Is getting harder to keep everything together.

Same issue, went back to 0.12 and it's working fine again. 0.13 is bugged...

I forgot about this thread Im so sorry guys. CTCaer (developer of hekate) responded to me and he figured out it was an issue with firmware version 0.8.1 and 0.9.X. I will link to his response where he provides a temporary fixed hekate.bin file you must use as the payload.

I will say everything I did to fix mine and get it to work (in case you guys want to follow):

Read over this thread where the fixed file is: github_com%CTCaer%hekate%issues%460
Use this guide to get cfw in your switch: nh-server_github_io%switch-guide%
You will have all necessary files for it to work. Now, the fix comes when having to inject hekate through TegraRCM. Instead of injecting the .bin file that comes in the latest hekate zip, you inject the fixed file that CTCaer provides. And voilà.

Edit: I am unable to post hyperlinks so just replace the underscores in the links I provided witb a "." and the % with a "/"

Hi i have a similar problem
Copied some files from another switchs sd to my new switchs sd and then tries splitting a large file when windows complained about sd not beeing alright..
It ejected the sd While split program stopped. After that i get blue screen with athmosphere when i boot emu. Booting sys works but all backups is gone..
Pls help.
Is emu corrupt?
Or did i accidentaly overwrite some importens files during copy of other files?

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages

It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.

never had that i don't think

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
Karma177 @ Karma177: @The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really...
