Hacking Supercard DS2 working great!

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in here for anyone on the fence about this card.

I have a DSLite, using a Kingston 8GB Class 4 MicroSD with the SCDS2. Every single game I've thrown at it has run prefectly. I'm just using whatever default settingst here are, and I'm not sure which of my roms are clean or not. I know I'm running DQIX and Kingdom Hearts clean, and they are smooth! Mario Kart, Mario 64, Chrono Trigger...doesn't matter what I toss in this bad boy, it works great. Played about an hour and a half straight last night on Lego Batman. No issues, and the save anywhere feature worked a charm.

I'm sure it isn't perfect for everyone, but I really have to say, this has been simple and great! Drag and drop and play!

a word of warning for people playing DQIX. Be careful using the realt-time save! It is fine to use with just one character in you party but if you have four and you real-time save in an open place it can freeze. I had to start back from when i saved in a church

. You CAN however real-time save while talking to anyone whith a 4 man party. Just to let you know. to be on the safe side it is best to save at the churches when you go by one.

That's strange, i've never had such a problem in DQIX, I saved real time a bunch of time during battles, random places, or wherever just so I could take a break. It never crashed once when I loaded it back up.

DQIX? nope.. the RTS works great as always.. no mater what game i play. it just works great.

i can tell you it definately does. in the open fields/plains if you have four people or more in your party and you rts suddenly while running the screen wont even load up. not game breaking though you can still rts.

I don't think it's that you're 'in a plain with four people' but more like the RTS occasionally fails to load.

I love my DStwo, much more than my dsonei that I had before that, and much more than the nothing that I had before that. xD

I am finding childhood games that I used to love so much, and playing them on the ds.

FYI, Lameboy would've worked on your DSonei.

So I've been considering purchasing a SCDS2 for a little over a week now. The R4 I have now works fine & all, but I've been back and forth all week on the pros & cons of purchasing a new card when my old one still works. I was really fascinated by the GBA Emulator and the idea of being able to play Mother 3 on the go, but would that really be worth the $35?

Then I considered upgrading my DS to a DSi XL. This would render my R4 obsolete, so that puts another point into Supercard's court. I'm not financially ready to upgrade the handheld just yet, but a card would be a step in the right direction. But then I wondered what I would do with my R4 if I bought the Supercard. Luckily I have family with DS Lites who are uber fascinated with the flash card tech (not to mention parents looking to save a buck!). All the signs light up, and I came to a decision.

I purchased a SCDS2 from ShopTemp today with the 4GB microSD. I'm joining the club.

Once that comes in (and hopefully works), I'll sell away my old R4 + 2GB microSD. That will help reimburse for today's purchase, and hopefully look forward to my future with a DSi XL. To be honest, I'm not real interested in a 3DS. At least with the DSi XL, I can enjoy all these great DS games and take a crack at some of the good GBA ones I missed some years back.

And I have many of you on this forum to thank. The good reviews provided positive reinforcement with my decision. So go, team.

i got a super card DS2 with an 8gb micro sd with premium flashing from shop temp haven't tried yet i hope it works.
