Pat the NES Punk said that the Stick feels very "slushy" for the game and that's pretty accurate to how it feels for me too. Such a shame we can't switch to the D-PAD.

Using the dpad you lose access to quick smashes and various angled recoveries/tilts/smashes, it would be similar to using the wii mote on brawl which is greatly inferior to a gamecube controller. Double tapping to smash/run only makes you slower to be honest.

That for me still works better since the Stick feels flimsy for this game and for Brawl the controller I used was the Wiimote which I'd double tap to run and that never really felt (now playing Smash with on the 3DS with the Stick feels rather unpleasant).

Yes, the 3DS can't handle having Smash and your home interface running at the same time or something to that effect. Play Smash, press home, select and open another app to avoid going back to SysNAND.

Seeing as how the Ice Climbers are not going to be a part of the roster anymore, this makes me wonder what other things the developers have tried to implement into the game, but couldn't because of hardware limitations on the 3DS.

On another note, would that mean 3DS is holding back the Wii U version? At least in terms of character roster, as that was confirmed to stay the same throughout both versions of Smash.

Im sure theyll release DLC at some point. At least I hope for (even) more characters to play. Maybe ice climbers make it back to the wii u with that

Can someone tell me why Duck Hunt is a playable character and is he any good? I don't suppose he's stealthy like Snake?

Because Melee got Game-And-Watch, and Brawl got Rob. It makes sense.

Also, he's a very strategic character, and likely the hardest to play as (at least in my opinion) than any other character, in any smash bros game ever. I'm maining him B)

Who has not wanted to shoot him at some point when playing Duck Hunt? Now you can. Seems like most of his moves are long range from what I have seen online.

Awesome!

Reading this just makes me want to play it even more but I have to wait till October for my copy.

I've now gotten somewhat used to the Stick but need to be careful not to break it.
