Nintendo has posted a method on how to get your SSBB game past the disc read error screen. I'm not sure if it will work on chipped consoles, but there seems to be a larger problem then just modded consoles. I assumed this as if there was any new protection in the disc it would more then likely kick in after it's been booted.
