Gaming Some thing happened to my top screen !!

there is a black mark or something on the top screen of my DS lite

what is the problem ?!
and is there anything i can do ?!

BTW i also noticed that when the ds is 'on' the black mark shrinks ( very slowly ) .... and it gets bigger when i switch it off

Looks like you have a broken LCD. Time to get a either a new DS or the better option a replacement screen (they're cheap and you don't have to know too much to do it (make sure you find a good tutorial before you decide what to do to see if you think you can follow the instructions and replace the screen).

It may be shrinking but it is a sign that your screen is going.

You could try DiagnoSe but spinalcodes website is offline at the moment and I don't think it would actually be able to fix your problem.

Leave it for a bit if you don't want to replace it however the problem will come back and will more than likely get worse.

You don't need a new LCD.
You need to fix the e-cable, thats most likely the problem.
I recommend dis-assembling it by following a guide.

its a dead spot, totaly harmless n wont kill ur screen, but if it annoys u then just replce it, look on youtube for a tutorial there are loads....

i dont think it will come to that, its just a few of the liquid crystals have died, therefore they dont heat up n emit light, it generally doesnt spread

it happened to me and that was because the lcd was kinda broken
its gonna get worse if u dont fix it it conna cover 70% of the screen

That happened to my old Ds Lite when it Flew halfway across the room and landed on a wooden floor.
Then I got my Dsi on the release date.
