I discovered this problem, but it cost me some S$200 on a new DS.

I encountered this game sound distortion problem on an intermittent basis on many games. The quality of the game sound could be good on some days but very bad on others. I had the impression that my DS has developed a sound system problem.

I bought a new DS and found that the problem did not actually go away.

After more trial and error, I eventually discovered that the distortion of the game sound was attributed to the LRABdown soft reset.

Every time after I activated the soft reset, the next game(s) that started will have a game sound distortion problem. This problem can be solved by switching off - then on again, using the on/off switch button. The quality of the game sound will return back to normal.

I am using Acekard 2.1 with AKAIO1.3rcl.

I tested the soft reset function with my old M3Simply and another SCDSone, the quality of the game sounds were all ok.

There could be a bug in the soft reset function in the AKAIO firmware. I'm not sure about the official v4.13 as I have not tested it.

The developer of AKAIO may wish to look at the feedback. Thks.

This has already been reported god knows how many times in the AKAIO 1.3rc1 thread. I've since fixed a few issues in the loader and this shouldn't occur anymore although it never occurs on my dsi so I can't really test too see if its fixed or not.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma

you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
