I just put it in, and it ran like a champ. WiiKey 1.9g and everything. Your guess is as good as mine as to why the original won't run.

no need for new topic i assume, but whatever. It's been confirmed numerous times that it works on wiikey. : P
Wiikey just probably don't wanna read the real ssbb. And when you burn it on dl it just reads it right. dunno.

Well i would say its like this:

Orginal DVD5 Game -> WiiKey . o (Its orginal lets turn myself off) -> Getting accepted by the Wii

Backup DVD5 Game -> WiiKey . o (Its a backup lets patch) -> Getting acepted on the Wii

Orginal DVD9 Game -> WiiKey . o (Whats this... looks like a backup lets patch) -> The Wii dont accepts the disk

Backup DVD9 Game - > WiiKey . o (Its a backup lets patch) -> Getting accpeted by the Wii.

Thats how i think its working.
The WiiKey propperly cannot detect that the Orginal DVD9 game is orginal and tries to patch legit code to unlegit code.

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
