Hey All!

Hope you're all having a great day.

I have been trying to setup UNEEK+DI on my wii using modmii as I've seen online, but I, for some reason, don't seem to be able to complete the SNEEK build. ModMii seems to have trouble downloading parts of the SNEEK installation process and I can't seem to complete it entirely through that, even after manually downloading unrar AND SneekInstaller and putting them in the `ModMii/temp` folder. I am able to create the emunand just fine, which I have, but its just installing SNEEK. I am able to install SNEEK manually using the SNEEK Installer myself and downloading everything it needs manually from the internet, since clicking the `get files` button failes with a `file not found` or `error recv (0)` error, but when check the SNEEK install, it says its found the files but their sizes are incorrect, and when using these files on the Wii, I'm just stuck at a `No Signal` display from my TV. I did read online that some people were needing to wait a bit, roughly 15 minutes for the first boot of the emunand, but I had it sitting for almost 45 minutes.

I did copy the original bootmiis armboot.bin and make a backup of that before copying the SNEEK installers armboot.bin to the SD card, but I get no results. I don't know if the sneek installation has just failed and isn't function correctly on the console, or if I'm missing something or skipping a step that is causing this not to work. The original bootmii armboot.bin allows my console to boot normally, its just using neeks armboot.bin that causes it to just sit there.

I did try using nSwitch from my original nand, but I ended up getting stuck at `Reloading bootmii IOS!` with a flashing disc drive light. I figured same thing as first nand boot thing from above, and let it sit at this screen, but so far nothing has happened and I don't want to just yank the power cable out since its NAND stuff and I don't wanna break it. I do have a NAND backup, so if anything goes wrong I do have that layer of protection.

nSwitch Outcome:
Code:
nSwitch v2.2 (c) 2013 OverjoY

Switching to "realnand" mode...
Mounting USB device... done!
Checking MBR...
Found "FAT" partition
Checking for kernel.bin... found!
kernel.bin size: 218720
Loading kernel.bin into memory... done!
Loading mini mod into memory... done!
Reloading boootmii IOS!

Please let me know if there is anything else that I would need to send to be able to help me resolve this issue.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks,
TheVAAAN

You able to troubleshoot? On discord might be easier if at all possible. But would need to see screenshots of the error modmii is throwing, if you time control+C correctly you can pause modmii at just the right moment if it's difficult getting a screenshot

Nah haven't been able to figure out what's going on. Tried all sorts of things, such as starting from scratch, formatting the SD and USBs, copying everything between SD and USB.

The error I'm getting in ModMii when running the SNEEK steps are just

Code:
WARNING: Some files Required for the neek2o install are missing.
Aborting neek2o installation, check your internet connection
Then repeat the installation to try again.

I get this when ModMii tries to download 'Official Sneek Installer (v0.7a)' or when 'Grabbing Modules for neek2o Rev96'. It's as if it can't find where to download the files from or something is blocking it from getting what it needs.

Would you recommend me using the discord server for help in trying to figure out what's going on?

Edit: Added photos of ModMii when trying to install SNEEK with default settings. I included a shot of just running ModMii, and of putting the 'Official Sneek Installer' in myself.

Edit Edit: I took my emunand information out of the "USB/nands/pl_eu" folder and copied everything directed to the root of my USB and that seemed to make it work. Even the first boot was almost instantly. Isn't uneek+di meant to get the emunand from inside there or is it meant to be on the root? I just copied the folders as they were created by ModMii

Even after changing all ufpr.dl.sourceforge.net text to master.dl.sourceforge.net I am still receiving this issue. View attachment 453256
This is already fixed in my beta and will be included in the next update. In the meantime if u drop the file modmii expects in its temp folder it will proceed, or ask to join my beta testing group.

If my next update will be awhile in coming I'll see about a hotfix in the interim

Here's a hotfix, open modmii.bat with a text editor and replace

with
