Got linked to it a couple of months back and has since become indispensable- you generate your own list of applications to install (and it has many great ones to choose from) and let it run leaving you just to tweak a few options in the applications themselves.

Why? It's a very short and fun game, which is so rewarding. The credits put me in a good mood.

On a serious note though, StumbleUpon.
It's a site where you list your interests (computers, cooking, technology, engineering, etc. whatever you want basically) and when you hit 'Stumble', it takes you to an interesting article that would appeal to you according to said interests.
