Hacking Semi bricked..

okay. so. I had a fully working Wii softmodded with bannerbomb and firmware 4.0U

SO i decided to downgrade to 3.2U

then i wanted to go back to 4.0U


so now for some unknown reason my region coding is all fucked up in my wii.

When i attempt to use SoftMii's firmware downgrader to reinstall 4.0U. It says my region code doesnt match the firmware. So it asks if i want to change it. it says if i dont i will be semi bricked. So i accept and it has a error and firmware installation fails.

it boots to the wii menu with everything working. But when i install preloader it semi bricks.


its a NTSC wii but it says my region coding is wrong so it semi bricks. When i install 3.2U again it says my Wii shop channel is the wrong region too. I attempt to change it and another error!


is there ANY app to fix the region coding.

Ive googled. searched everywhere and come to this place to get help.

Even updating from nintendo it semi bricks! theres seriously something wrong.

can you still access your Wii settings, if you can than your Wii is not semi bricked.

or you could check your Region Settings with Any region changer ex: Area Console setting, just be careful with that program cause you could permanently brick your Wii, Also it might be best if you can install bootmii as boot2 before doing anything to your Wii.

i got it solved and working again. I restored the wii to factory defaults. And it was semi bricked. I used ARC to downgrade to 3.2 and just went from there. it kept saying 4.0(USA) and giving me a black screen with no sound when it was semi bricked.

and upgraded back up after resetting to factory default. and redid the bannerbomb.


its all good to go. but BootMii's menu doesnt work. My wii remotes turn off at the bootmii menu and i cant access anything. I even tried a gamecube controller and nothing. So if i do get bricked how can i use bootmii? i have it installed as boot2. and installed it as IOS.

also would it be okay to install CIOSCORP if i already got BootMii as boot2? or would that mess up bootmii.
