SEGA Fes 2018 roundup thread: Genesis Mini, SEGA Ages annnounced

Sega-Fes-2018-Tease_04-13-18.jpg

Sega is ramping up the hype for its "Sega Fes" event, which will be happening tomorrow, on April 14, and lasting until the 15th. Though Sega Fes is a Japan-only event, things got interesting when Sega of Europe's Twitter account began telling fans worldwide that they should be sure to catch the broadcast tomorrow, as it'll have something hugely important. Sega of America also said that fans will not want to miss what's going to be revealed. If Sega is telling those outside of Japan to stay tuned, then it likely means that we'll be seeing something that'll have a worldwide announcement. The full reveal will be sometime tomorrow for Japan, while the start of the event will be at 6:00 pm PT today for those in North America, or alternatively, 1 am GMT.

The last Sega Fes event was in 2016, where a live-action drama series was announced for the Yakuza franchise, and some gameplay was shown for Yakuza 6 and Puyo Puyo Chronicle.

It makes me wonder if Sega is such insignificant by now that they don't get any stage time on E3 anymore or if they think they're still such significant that such a event would make sense.
Nothing agains Sega, alot of people have fond childhood memories and all but they not even manage to make a good Sonic game without getting external help from there fans anymore... It's there damn mascot!
Lets hope it isn't "Phantasy Star Online: The Movie"

idk why people want so much a port, if it's a PC port its fine, but port it to other consoles looks very pointless
Not really, considering the game couldn't maintain a steady 60fps on PS3, and the 360 version was capped at 30fps. Also it'd be nice to get higher resolution shadows, bug fixes, lighting enhancements, etc.

Jesus, I need a Yakuza 0 part 2 announcement and more details on the protagonist of Yakuza 7 ASAP. Oh and a Shenmue HD collection would be great as well. I could care less for another Sonic game unless it's a good game like Mania and not Forces.

I really like that artwork that SEGA's using for this event. Really reminiscent of old Japanese Sonic box art.

Hopefully it'll be something pertaining to Sonic Mania. Unlikely, but I hope they've got at least one Puyo Puyo translation up their sleeves.

My hope: a new Sonic collection for PC/Switch/PS4/XBO with Christian Whitehead remasters of 1, 2, CD, and 3&K if possible, along with emulated versions of the major spinoffs (Spinball, Mean Bean, 3D Blast, etc)
Sonic Mega Collection Ultimate, in other words? I'd be totally down for that.

They could also choose to remaster MBM, considering how they already ported the basic gameplay to the Retro Engine.

Yeah, pretty much.
I could totally get behind a MBM remaster, AoSTH was great and I'd love a new, non-animegirl Puyo Puyo.

I'd absolutely love for them to go all the way, gimme every pre-Dreamcast Sonic game, with the Whitehead remastered ones having new features from Mania (Drop Dash!)

Maybe they could even have a throwback to Sonic Jam and include a remake of the Sonic World 3D Section. That'd be cool as hell, and it would be like coming full circle, especially considering that the games in Jam were ports, not remakes.

Ahh, I see it. Nice stuff, though exclusive games, ehh.
Correction.
"Shenmue I & II" is scheduled to be released in 2018, will only be PS 4 (package version, digital version) in Japan, PC version and Xbox One version will be released in North America Europe. Domestic PS 4 version sound is only Japanese, but overseas version can be selected from both Japanese and English voice."
