I remember someone did this years ago but he didn't do any detailing, like the area inside the DS logo or around the volume button, etc. Anyway I feel like this doing now and I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to sand down the entire Lite. What materials or tools would be best for it?

Why would you want to sand down the glossy finish anyway?

Skins and stickers are out of the question, and I would've done this a lot sooner if I had the time. So yeah, any advice is appreciated. I've never done sanding before and don't know anyone who could help

I also prefer matte finishes but I'm not sure how well sanding will work. I've never heard of someone doing that before... If you do it, I'd be curious to see how it came out.

Were those even LCD, or did they have tiny lamps inside?

@Veho, They were LCD games if I'm not mistaken with lamps inside.

Took full sized C cell batteries.

In the distant past before all these fancy solid state electronic gizmos, there were segmented displays with tiny lamps under each segment instead of one backlight and then an LCD overlay.

Noble gasses are inert, hence the name "noble" so they aren't really a problem.
