I remember someone did this years ago but he didn't do any detailing, like the area inside the DS logo or around the volume button, etc. Anyway I feel like this doing now and I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to sand down the entire Lite. What materials or tools would be best for it?

Why would you want to sand down the glossy finish anyway?

Because a matte finish looks better.

Skins and stickers are out of the question, and I would've done this a lot sooner if I had the time. So yeah, any advice is appreciated. I've never done sanding before and don't know anyone who could help

TIP: Instead of sandpaper use fine steel wool around DS logo.

Sanding the DS will make the thing look ugly and its waste of time.

I don't see the point, if you don't like it then can't you buy a silicon case for it or something?

I also prefer matte finishes but I'm not sure how well sanding will work. I've never heard of someone doing that before... If you do it, I'd be curious to see how it came out.
