God, I'm so sorry guys that people who have no idea what they're doing are flooding the scene -cough- totally not me for sure. -cough-

I've seen this problem arise before, but I want to make sure I'm doing this right...
I have ntr_boothax loading my SafeB9S boot.firm file and thats good y'know? But during this cool process safeb9s is giving me some trouble... I've tried multiple SD Cards, and about to try Micro SD to SD Card next.

Every time I try to do it, it reads "SigHaxed FIRM was not installed" (https://gbatemp.net/threads/sighaxed-firm-was-not-installed.477121/) but on the bottom screen next to MicroSD Card it reads "init failed." I'm currently checking my SD Card with H2testw. Any Ideas in the mean time?

Btw I also have redownloaded everything multiple times.

edit 2:
Try this build of GodMode9 as your boot.firm instead of SafeB9SInstaller. Go to SD -> boot9strap -> boot9strap.firm -> FIRM image options... -> Install FIRM -> Install to FIRM0.

Last Resort and may not work, didn't work for me sadly. You need to aeskeydb.bin:

Try this build of GodMode9 as your boot.firm instead of SafeB9SInstaller. Go to SD -> boot9strap -> boot9strap.firm -> FIRM image options... -> Install FIRM -> Install to FIRM0.
It's likely because it can't obtain the system keys, which it would normally get from your already existing b9s install, which you don't have. While I can't link you the keys directly, if you read the GodMode9 release page, you can find a file called aeskeydb.bin by googling the MD5 hash of A5B28945A7C051D7A0CD18AF0E580D1B

If you manage to find it on your own (it'll be 1024B big) copy it to your SD:/gm9/support/ folder on the SD card and see if GodMode9 will load then.

Try formatting the SD card with guiformat.exe and check the SD card with h2testw (not in that order). If there are any errors then that may be it. If there isn't any errors try again, (SD must be MBR, 32KB Allocation) follow the steps word by word, don't stray off. If you're completely certain you have done this right, and it still throws errors. Buy a new SD card. If there is still an error explain in the thread please.

Edit 3:
Gosh My issue is like a spawn of Satan, It may be a permanent brick or a weird Read-Only NAND problem.
here are the imgur pics of my board:
NAND:

SD Card housing:
https://imgur.com/a/tqNVE

Both look fine except for a little cracked pad but that shouldn't be a problem because none of the pads are connected from the looks of it. That glob of solder isn't touching one thing. My theory is that something may be bridging, and instead of frying the NAND, it's making it read only. Weird, amiright? Can someone who has expert knowledge of the 3ds NAND confirm or deny this claim? Is it possible to make a NAND Read-Only? Or did I just screw this stuff up? If anyone wants me to take better pictures or just more pictures that's fine by me. As for someone who is in this scenario, GodMode9 will probably have something for this, but try to copy a NAND backup to the [S:] directory, inside there should be a lowercase nand.bin. Take your nand.bin (Could be emuNAND if you like) file and make sure its all in lowercase "nand.bin" then hover over the file, press Y, then go into the [S:] directory in GodMode9. Push Y again, wait for it to paste. If you get an error please write it down below, or if this thread is old, make a new thread.

Edit 4:
Final edit. My problem was a stray piece of solder. All these other options are viable for the problem at hand, but it seems that mine was a NAND problem. I De-Soldered the glob with the help of @AnalogMan. The issue seems to be it made my NAND read-only. If you think you have this issue feel free to contact him. If not follow the suggestions that are in my edits and those below. Read this thread: as it's the most common problem associated with this error code. Ok. Mods feel free to close this.

From thw guide, make sure in the github (if you are using NTRBOOT) to download the Boot9Strap_NTR.firm

Wrong. He is using NTRBoot so he use thee NTR version
Wrong. The NTR version of boot9strap is the one flashed to the flashcart. You need the regular version to install to the 3DS.

That being said, I'm not sure why it isn't able to init the SD card. Does the SD card work fine in the 2DS otherwise?
