Yes, but it's needed for things like loadcode, some ROP files, etc. AKA, almost necessary for homebrew.

It's still a decent idea. Browser stays the same over multiple FW versions. I think we have all the US and EUR ones as of now. Not sure about JPN though...

Did I miss a step for manually installing MSET 6.x via FBI? I have rxTools 2.6, FBI 1.4.6 sysNAND 7.1 and emuNAND 9.9? I got the wrong MSET version error before.

1. Install FBI to sysNAND from rxTools 2.6
2. Load FBI (apparently it will be a separate app and won't be within the Health and Hazard app this time?), L button for install to NAND and select 0004001000021000.cia v5128 for US that I downloaded.
3. Reboot

Anything else?

I believe you have done everything correctly, maybe you should try deleting MSET from NAND first (as some early versions of FBI don't install it properly.)

Or use the BigBlueMenu instead of FBI.

Do you also have them installed to the sysNAND? GBA games won't work in emuNAND unless they are installed in sysNAND as well.

Uhh how do i do that? Tutorial only showed how to setup FBI on emuNAND.

Basically, you do the same thing. Select "Install FBI over Health&Safety App" and then choose sysNAND. Just keep in mind that to run FBI and anything else that isn't legit in sysNAND you will have to launch sysNAND in RXMode. You can do that in the options when booting rxTools.
