Also, having the slot0x25KeyX.bin file on >7.0 sysNAND has been known to cause problems, so I would suggest deleting that, as it's useless anyway.
Is ther a compiled version of sysUpdater
Hah, Thanks! The source is only set up for .3dsx (although there is an .rsf file in there for .cia). I was going to have to dig around to make a working .cia. The automated python scripts I've been collecting are mostly set up for rom dumps, not .3dsx stuff...There is now.

Just compiled, cia version and 3dsx version.
I at one point updated sysnand using sysupdater as a test and got a brick. (Don't worry I had a nand mod so it was a easy fix) Not sure if the source code has been updated since then. Be very careful with that program.
He already has a release pageThere is now.

So that's not what you you used then... I guess the one you used won't be released?
Hmmm... I'm hard modded on my O3DS, so I'll try it out this weekend (I'm busy today and Friday night is for an abundance of adult beverages). I'll try on 4.2 sysnand going directly to 9.2. Looks like the last updates were just a couple of days ago...I at one point updated sysnand using sysupdater as a test and got a brick. (and as he mention's, the 3dsx version is currently pointless as it doesn't have the am:u service permissions)
overly complicated in my book. In this, as well as other forums, it seems some people messing with this stuff are pre-teen...I prefer installing updates via nim anyways

I'll try to format EmuNAND with GW Menu then launch RxTools, maybe it won't stuck with an EmuNand installed
You could do what Oishikatta said (it sounds easier), but I used RxTools to inject legit SysNAND 9.2 FIRM files into my EmuNAND so that I could make a backup of the EmuNAND image and restore it to my SysNAND without bricks.
