Could this be put on a web server?Oh, it's just a simple bash/sh script that runs every time I power the netbook on.
Install Dropbox (and dependencies used by rxTools) then run this (modify it to your own preferences):
Code:#!/bin/bash echo Building > Desktop/Building.txt build_date=`date +"%m-%d-%y"` rm -R -f rxTools git clone --recursive https://github.com/roxas75/rxTools cd rxTools sha1=`git rev-parse --short HEAD` echo Building... make release echo Compressing... zip -r rxTools_$build_date.zip release if ! Removing... rm -f rxTools_$build_date.zip fi echo Sleeping for 5 minutes before shutdown. echo Done > ../Desktop/Building.txt sleep 300 if ! [[ -f "../Desktop/Building.txt" ]]; then echo Shutdown aborted. else sudo shutdown -P now fi
It's pretty dirty but it works. The script used to run the commands where it pulls the new commits without having to redownload the whole repository BUT GitHub seems to have a glitch where if you run "git rev-parse --short HEAD" after updating the local repo, it still shows the hash of the old commit :/
I did it this way, as a dirty "patch" because I'm lazy.
Yes, if you really wanted to. Depending on how you implement it, you're gonna have fun with the server hanging until the compilation is completeCould this be put on a web server?
And could you do it without rebooting?Yes, if you really wanted to. Depending on how you implement it, you're gonna have fun with the server hanging until the compilation is complete
Yeah, of course. Any programmer/dev would know that :/And could you do it without rebooting?

In bash, if you want an infinite loop it would look like this:Meh. I don't really use bash.
EDIT: What are the loop commands for bash?
while True; do
echo YAY! FOREVER!
done
Ok. I know in Windows Batch, it would be:In bash, if you want an infinite loop it would look like this:
Code:while True; do echo YAY! FOREVER! done
