Maybe yes. Maybe no.
Some people won't let their parents to buy a Wii U because it's "worthless".
Well for me, I played Wii U games on my cousin which means I don't personally own a Wii U.
But I use Cemu just for testing crap.

But if it against the rules, then how come Visual Boy, No$GBA, DesMuMe, Dolphin, and other stuff didn't get a warning?
Emuparadise still standing except for Coolroms(RIP).
Dolphin has it in It's about page

I guess that makes sense. But what about a DX12 backend?
Three reasons:
  • WiiU's rendering API is remotely based on OpenGL, therefore it makes sense to use a similar API on PC.
  • OpenGL is multi-platform. Making ports easier in the future.
  • The situations in which DX12 is faster are not relevant in Cemu. So performance is not a decisive factor. The same will probably be true for the upcoming Vulkan API.
On a side note, we are going to bump the required OpenGL version to 4.5 (latest) soon. Need those cutting-edge features.

Aiscrim are you also working on cemu or what?
No, the cemu developers atm are only @Petergov and me.

Thank you! i've been saying this for a while now xD

Glad to see we're getting 4.5 though, really hyped for that.

Hope exzap could add fullscreen to the next build.

Emu renders at 1080p but I get a window that looks like 720p size. On nvidia.

Will be nice to go fullscreen :)

Well, I did ask what are @Exzap requirements for letting someone have the source code (that happened in a previous post of mine), but no answer yet. I'm just experimenting with the emulator and Autohotkey for now. I'm specially interested in what could become of a Super Mario Maker community around cemu.

I hope I'm not annoying anyone here.

Hang on, are you saying you hope to have Exzap post the entirety of the Cemu source code in a single post?
Lol
Not at all. I'm not even asking the code directly. XD I'm asking what are the necessary conditions for him to trust the code to a person. Which, of course, would be handed by other means. What I meant is that the only moment in that I've asked was in a previous post of mine.

Lol
All in BASIC

I wonder if something like cemu could even be done in basic

He doesn't. He's too afraid of his precious source code being used to go against his Morals™
Why's that? It's not like Cemu has some kind of drm attached to it. Unlike those... *shudder* sega emulators...

There are cases that open source is counterproductive. Once you let it go, you have no control over it. Imagine that few devs are arguing about gfx backends, whether to support Ogl, Dx11-12 or Vulkan, and everyone makes his own fork. With hacks it gets even worse. If project can't be well managed it better not be open source.

there is a 4 year difference going from version 3.3 to version 4.5, so it is safe to say that it will benefit the emulator.

Well no shit it'll make Cemu better.
OGL 3.3 = 2010
OGL 4.5 = 2014
4.5 is the latest version. What's these guys have been doing?
