A while ago, I tried to install the region switch on my NTSC-U GCN by soldering wires to the pads on R5. However, the pads on both sides came off of the board after the wires got pulled off while routing them, and now I'm questioning whether or not I'll still be able to solder new wires on to the board itself, as the pads are now gone.

EDIT: I just tried to apply solder to the area where the pads were, and no connections can be made at all, it seems. I believe that at this point, installing a switch would not work.
