Didn't used all the tools for a couple of months. The new version is really great, write speed is awesome! Thanks for your work!

Nope. Because the template one and what you currently have in sd card, still works. Also sdfiles were already updated (which normally is the way to go for newcomers. At least now looks cleaner.).
Sir i understand that but a new comer may not, I also notice or have not noticed that there is no mention of payloads in the ini, so how does one launch the payloads in the payloads folder with hekate ?
Thank you

Make a entry like any other

Lakka example:
Code:
[Lakka]
payload=lakka/boot/coreboot.rom
logopath=lakka/boot/splash.bmp

SX OS boots to a black screen
More configs... menu option gets you stuck at yet another black screen

Other than that everything seems to be working!

I also get black screen trying to run sx os, have latest files and hekate 4

Solution please ? Besides running normally , how to run through hekate ?

Payloads can be launched 2-ways.

Either have them in bootloader/payloads/ and they will show up in Launch->Payloads (currently it needs at least hekate_ipl.ini in bootloader/) or by using the payload= entry for boot entry.
Or both (having ini point to bootloader/payloads/payload.bin).

2nd option gives you the benefit of autobooting that payload.

EDIT:
Also as stated, the guide will be updated later. No time available now.

if I want the autoboot to immediately load the fusee payload

Do i set autoboot=1 at .ini?

Where in the .ini do I put the "bootloader\payloads\atmosphere_fusee-primary.bin" part?

or is it autoboot=bootloader\payloads\atmosphere_fusee-primary.bin

You dont need fusee to load atmosphere with hekate

Sorry of this seems a stupid question, but I'd like to know if I understand the 1st improvement correctly.

"Added Payload launching. Supports: All current CFW bootloaders, Linux chainloading and payload tools."

The Payload is the .bin file we send to the Switch using TegraSmash right? Such as hekate_ctcaer_3.2.bin?

But we still need to use a PC (or phone) to send the Payload to the Switch I assume, so what is different about this?

Kind of like SX OS in which you can launch various payloads from your SD card so you don't have to worry about switching out the files in tegrarcmsmash or whatever dongles you may or may not have

it means we can launch other payloads from within hekate

But does not load sx os yet unfortunately

@CTCaer ....Ok so we have all these various usb injectors showing up which was to be expected. Teamx indicated they might support a USBA dongle device to keep in your dock. I use my switch about 70/30 docked so with autoRCM that sounds like a great coldboot solution for my needs.

We use Switch in portable mode when using usb injection. from what you know how does Switch behave when docked in rcm mode and could a payload be sent from the USB-A dock port (which I assume is just a usb hub)?

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
