If you open up a DS Lite, some systems have a glob of white clay or something on the motherboard. What is that stuff called?

    Wouldn't YOU like to know?
Thermal paste? Never opened one up so I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming that's what it would be. Is it on the CPU?

Crack? Ha ha, just kidding. I found a photo of what your referring to but the link is dead and I don't know what it is exactly.

Maybe some type of thermal material, but thermal paste is usually used to make the transfer of heat from a chip to a heatsink more efficient. Btw, here's the one I found.[IMG]

I don't think it is thermal paste. With that amount a thermal paste would have the opposite effect and overheat the chip.

    Probably epoxy.
