Once you install boot9 with Luma or any other type of CFW (ReiNAND?) that offers unlocking the JPN console, you can then play your English cartridges freely. Sometimes out of region CIA games simply have Japanese text regardless where it comes from.I had this happen once with an ENG CIA file for Yoshi and Pochi's Woolly World. This won't completely be considered an eye sore if you sorta understand how some grammar/Kanji/Hiragana/Katakana works. Or..have already experienced played the game before.

Luma's region/language emulation lets you play games in other languages on a Japanese console.
Soo your saying it has to have Luma install in order for me to play out of region carts and Cia games?
That or ReiNAND. Luma is the default setup when you install B9S.
You can region change the console to make everything English, eShop probably won't work afterwards but you can always use FreeShop instead.

  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:

@BigOnYa, How do I make enemies respawn on gdevelop after
    the player dies?

Carrying a PC or phone is so old school!
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Squeeze your cheeks twice to answer calls!
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
