With the TX SX website going live, many of you might be tempted to pull the trigger and pre-order an SX Pro or an SX OS.. Check the official list of resellers to find a reasonable price before you place your order (you'll find many around 40$ for the Pro dongle). Many greedy resellers have increased the price to 59.99$. Which is an insane markup from the 35$ recommend retail price by TX.. And from the 25$ they actually paid for the chip.. They definitely don't deserve 10$ more than what TX is getting for it simply for reselling the units!! So please check all the prices before placing your order and boycott the greedy bastards who increased the price.
Most have not really increased the price, they love to make the 'pre-order' look better by claiming the price is $59.99 but we give you loyal customer coupon code or its on limited time offer for $40 or $49. -- To try to suck people into grabbing pre-order instead of waiting, tricking the unknowing customer thinking that after June 15th, the price is going up to $59.99 without any more discounts.
This occurs on most chinese webshops, like for all electronics, with things like cellphone is $249, but right now for first 500 units its only $149, so you better hurry up now. -- The truth is the 'deal never' ends, it just gets reset, and price stays the same, the 'sale' is never-ending story.
In the old days of big box retail stores, the same used to occur, with printed flyers or signs in store windows, saying this TV or Sofa is on sale now, the best was 'close-out' selling stores, that never 'closed', their liquidation of stock never ended, after a while alot of states based regulations against this type of 'never-ending' sales for retail stores, at some point maybe with luck we have the same regulation for webshops, but i doubt that will ever occur.
For now, its best to shop around and browse thru all the official resellers, but some have gone to extreme measures to block ips, geo-locations, so you get a 'site closed' message if you browsing from different location then you allow to buy from.
As for greed the most I have seen is around $10 to $15 markup from the suggested $35 dollar price, that is the normal as most resellers are never happy with just $10 profit, they want to make that $25 dollar profit level, which I do agree with you, its not fair a greed, for item selling wholesale at $25, to be charging twice the amount, that is crazy, now if it was $99 item, and the same $25 profit level it would not be bad, $99 cellphones for $119 or $129, but on the low-end affordable level is below $50 dollar items, they should understand there not that big of profit level.
Even when it comes to xbox 360 consoles, big stores like walmart were lucky to make $12 per unit sold, so sometimes you have to suck it up, and enjoy thousands of $10 profits, instead of just few hundred of $25 profits, but only the long-time business people understand that, those in it for short-term, 2 to 3 year operations don't give a damm.
