Misc Problem searching for access points in Wifi hotspots

Problem is im on a public hotspot.
How would i know if their wep or not?

I tried to configure Nintendo Wifi settings on some games.
When I try searching for access points, it says none available
or out of range, something like that.

Im not sure how to use Manual in the wifi settings.
Im using a Ds lite.

Well, if there is nothing coming up, then their is no access points in range (whether they are compatible with the DS lite or not). So, if this is the case, you should probably go to a place that people have had success with before and try it there.

If you're in a hotspot and it doesn't pick it up, it's probably WPA or WPA2.

It picks the hotspots but it doesnt seem to connect
