ROM hack of: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon (3DS)

Pokémon Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon are mods for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Like my Rutile Ruby & Star Sapphire hacks and my Nova Sun & Umbra Moon hacks, their main purpose is to provide a more challenging game experience while not artificially limiting the player. The premier feature of Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon is the ground-up redesign of Pokémon Trainers in the world to increase the game's challenge. Every trainer in the game has been edited, and the level curve expects use of the Experience Share, which means that the player levels up very quickly. Every Pokémon in Trainers' teams has a a proper moveset and many are holding items. The Elite Four and Champion are Level 100, and the player doesn't need to grind to equal that!

Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon's secondary focus is inspired by Super Smash Bros. Melee's "20XX Hack Pack" which is designed to improve competitive players' ability to practice and grind. In Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon's Legit Build, everything obtainable is 100% legal and legitimate for real online battles or trades. In all Builds, some features are designed to make preparing competitive teams much less of a hassle. Competitive hold items are much more available, a 6IV Ditto is available through an in-game trade (holding a Destiny Knot), Eggs hatch in one cycle, and Level 100 Memento Blissey battles are available in the Battle Buffet once the main story has been beaten.

I just installed the game on my 3ds and want to know if the special rockruff is obtainable in the game. Reason I'm asking is that I'm starting a new game and I'd like to be able to have access to the special Rockruff that evolves into Dusk Lycanroc.

You need a rockruff with ability "Own Tempo". This one was only available through the event which was provided after launch of USUM.
But you can create your own with a hacktool like PKSM or just change the ability of an rockruff you catch in the wild.

Install worked great! I am having the Pokeshop Keeper issue. I do have an update but it's requiring a system update. Is there a way around that or manual update files?

Thanks!

Well, I just keep my 3DS updated and download from the eShop. You'll have to hunt down an Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon 1.2 update CIA yourself if you want to sideload.

Does anyone have a link to the Expanded catchable Pokemon and their locations?

The file in the link in the front page seems to have been removed, along others.

Hi, I just installed Luma on my 3DS, I'm trying to decide which Pokemon ROM Hack I want.
I have in the past played stock RBY/RS/FRLG/DP, and Sacred Gold/Storm Silver ROM Hacks.

I'm just going to play one and go in completely blind regarding new Pokemon.

Should I play this or an X/Y hack instead?
I've heard SuMo could be a bit easy/hand hold-ey, and slow with all the cutscenes, although with the ROM Hack/Ultra tweaks maybe that's alleviated a bit? Getting rid of HMs would be pretty good I think.

This hack is very polished and I took pains to make sure it would be a reasonable first Gen VII experience while still providing increased challenge.

Thanks. I've no doubt your ROM Hack is great, I was more wondering if I should play Gen VI or VII. Maybe could have phrased my question better. I the end I decided to go with Moon - analogue movement and the art style won me over (not a fan of Chibi in general).

So far seems like it's working fine, just got my starter.

Is there another location where we can get the files of changes? It looks like the cloud files aren't available.

Thank you again so much! :)
