When i went to the great marsh i was given a blue shard instead of the HM defog, is this happening to anyone else ? Any solutions on getting defog would be greatfull. Thanks.

I have managed to get past the area where i need defog, but i may need the HM itself later on in the game. Any solutions ? And thanks for the new patch much apreciated

If the game itself was multilingual then I would see no viable excuse for Nintendo not to release it here on the same date as it was in japan.

Um actually there is a reason, Since the japanese version is already out and many people imported a copy, all those people are on a very likely prediction are going to buy the another copy in english when it comes out, so a reason could be that nintendo likes money.
but yeah there obviously isn't an english translation built in to the rom, And a "press start' and copyright Screen is nowhere enough english.

Lol, I'm having trouble with the cmd as well. Keeps telling me "too many filenames" or something of the sort. I'll keep trying, and if not, I can wait until someone makes an easier patch. Great progress!

You get Defog in the Unown Cave left of Soleceon Town. Thats why you can't get it at the great marsh.

now the problem is why does it not read my save data from before o.o
yes i renamed it the same still doesnt read my data? gues il have to restart if theres no fix X_X

Unless you're using Vista, there's no way it shouldn't work. As long as you grab a clean, untrimmed rom and drag it onto the exe file, it should work.

I think the reason your .sav file isn't reading is because the headers were changed. (Not sure). He said that AR cheats work now, so I take it that the headers were changed... which means your .sav doesn't work.

Isn't it possible to examine the Japanese script, then translate it into English for parts that weren't in D/P? I might be able to help a little in that regard.

I don't think TC can translate japanese. Also, I'm sure there's a lot of japanese text in the game...which could lead to a long translation. He said this was a small patch to make his playing of the game a more enjoyable experience. I don't think the point was to make a full trans. However, I'm not the author of this project, so I dunno. :X

Well I don't mean the whole game, just some bits like menus and such. Reading the japanese isn't too difficult, I've been reading the japanese and translating little bits.
