You are correct I have two badges and it took 15 events for a freeze

Uh... No? Try putting 8 there, that comes out negative.
I forgot to add that if a player has anymore than three badges the count would be negative.
I'm thinking that this would probably just cause the game to crash upon loading.
The reason I think this might be the case is because If I load up my JAP save, it immediately crashes upon loading and I have 16 gym badges on that file.
But IF this is true than it might mean a separate piracy check for each gym badge.
And this game has 16 of them....

sorry I dont understand anything about that:S
I mean: then the existing arm7.bin file is the problem, if he just patched the arm7.bin file.

Your equation is consistent.
But with 4 badges, it would give -18 events.
Is it going to remove the AP? Or is it going back to 1?
Someone can try this with Pokesav? (Put 4 badges and test)

errr, no?

if you put an 8, the answer is 260 I think, but then this still wouldn't work because it should be less events to crash.
Edit: nvm the answer is -252.

I see, but I'm pretty sure we did get reports of people who got the 4th badge and it still worked.

^ precedes multiplication. So it's 8^3 and THEN multiplied by -0.5

errr, no?

I think that IS how it works...i tried loading my 16 badge jp save...black screened...tried loading a no badge save, flawless....

I read everyone saying theirs doesn't crash ever with AK2i and AKAIO 1.6RC but mine just did. Oh well...

I think it would be better if someone with 4 badges could confirm for us.

Also, even so, I'm pretty sure there's other equitations that would work, and EVEN SO, what does this change anyway?

You'll need the R4 Cheat Code Editor. I recommend the one made by Yasu.
