Gaming Pokemon Event (Arceus) Australia

Hi, just a qiuck post before i have to go out, but im curious as to how i managed to get the whole arceus thing working when i was playing on R4? i had pearl, platinum and diamond on my cart and got Arceus on each one without any troubles. is it because nintendo is dumb, R4's are awesome XD or because nintendo found no need to put some kind of AP on it because it was a non-profit event?

i dunno, just that none of those games would connect to my wii for pokemon battle revolution (dual white screens). thats all.
