I know it might be a bit of pain to switch emulators, but Ryujinx has support for button activated cheat codes. That way you don't have to restart to change codes, you can use things like Hold L shiny code.

Does it? I use Ryujinx sometimes for testing, and the last time I checked, it didn't work.

A person linked me a video the other day, in which that the person in the video was testing some cheats in fighting game, and one of the codes was a teleport code activated by ZL and it worked.

(My guesstimate would be that the pointer codes don't like being activated by button presses, but the ASM codes seem to be fine as they directly affect game instructions, instead of having to follow memory addresses.)

I am attempting to use Encounter ON and the Eevee code provided by DarthAK47. Any tips?

I'd advise updating to 1.1.3, the encounter codes have been updated. See if that solves your issue, if not then it might be an issue with your cheat file, conflicting codes potentially.

EDIT: Thought I’d add more info, I’m using 1.1.3 Shining Pearl and as far as I can tell I’m still trying to follow the rules as best as possible and capturing the mons but it’s still breaking

Have a look at @FabioCapela post on the previous page, he's updated the 6IV code.
(Even if you're not using the same game that he made them for, just try them and see if they work)

1.1.3 actually fixed a bug that was making chains break more often than they should, which in turn broke my code, and I didn't notice it.

I've now changed the approach used in my code to account for the fix, and it should be working again. I just tested the new code by chaining 40 dittos while always defeating them and going for the closest shaking grass, so either I pulled off the luckiest chain in the world or the code is working again.

Edit: just to be clear, the code was only tested on Pearl 1.1.3.

Ah okay, I've not heard of this list of cheats you're using, so I don't know any specifics about it.
I'd say the best approach would be to first make the encounter codes the only cheats in the cheat file to make sure they actually don't work at all.
If that doesn't work, then you could try using the 1.1.2 cheat codes in the main file, since all the previous version's cheats are still there and see if they work for you.

If it's just because you haven't found any, that means nothing, just bad luck.

Are you on switch or emulator?
If you're on switch, have you gone through the steps on the main page to ensure your atmosphere settings are correct?
Have you tried making it the only cheat in the cheat file?
And just as a reminder, it doesn't give you items, it sets an item's count to 999 when you use the item.

I'm on Switch and it all works fine, except this. Thanks for letting me know, I just kept checking the bag, nothing said I have to use an item Will try it again tomorrow.

What I wanted to achieve is to get the rare Evolutionary Stones:

• Shiny Stone
• Dusk Stone
• Dawn Stone

Is there a cheat which would help with it?

On the codes DarthAK47 has, change 01AFBC38 to 01AFD228
