GSC and remakes had 16 because 8 of them came before the E4 and in one region.

My guess is that Pokemon BW2 will be region locked for DSi/3DS, even for the Western versions, because of the Pokemon AR Catcher game on the eShop which has a regional lockout.

This is in contrast with BW, which isn't region locked for the western versions.

Yeah, I think I was the first to point out on this forum that Pokemon B/W weren't fully region locked and no one believed me back then. lol

Due to E-shop connectivity I could definitely see B/W 2 fully region locked.

As a DSi enhance game yes you can on DSi systems, but for some reason European DSi could play American version of Pokemon B/W and vice versa. However both region DSi's couldn't play Japanese versions of the game.

What extra features you won't be able to access on the DSi/3DS? XD Don't you mean on a normal DS/Lite?

I mean a rom loaded on a flashcart will behave as DS mode even on a DSi, so no region lock.

Even if we're talking imports, American, English and Australian copies are all "English Language" copies so they are functionally identical.

if you bought a copy of Pokemon Black 2
then place in Eur 3DS
it would just not load?
or would it only boot in DS mode?
